A method of conducting a wagering game according to the rules of a base game includes defining a finite set of game indicia. The player plays multiple sequential game hand by placing a wager, receiving game indicia from the finite set cumulatively excluding any game indicia previously dealt, playing the game hand to completion, collecting the game indicia from the player and excluding the dealt game indicia from further play, and displaying at least the excluded game indicia or any winning combinations precluded by the excluded game indicia. The game hands continue in sequence until a restoration event, which may include a manually triggered restoration or an automatic restoration event, that restores the excluded game indicia. The invention also includes a method for conducting multiple game hands dealt simultaneously from a finite set continuously depleted of dealt game indicia.

A game score display device including a particular holder adapted to hold a pad upon which a game score can be written by a score-keeper easily and conveniently and, after completion of the writing of each additional scoring change thereon, can be moved into a upright position and then positionally reversed around an upright axis so that the just-written game scoring change (and any previously written game scores) will be visibly displayed in a saliently obvious manner to all persons participating in the card or other type of game, so that it will not be necessary, as has been the prior art practice, for various game participants to frequently ask the score-keeper what the score is. The apparatus is particularly well adapted for displaying game scores of card games such as bridge, or the like, although not specifically so limited.

A board game for teaching the principles of personal finance whereby significant wealth may be accumulated includes a playing board having a first, Rat Race, track and an entirely separate second, Fast Track. Each player begins the game on the Rat Race track and is provided with a Game Card to track his/her finances. The Game Card is configured as a combined Income/Balance Sheet, and basic accounting rules of personal finance are carefully followed in updating the Game Card while a player progresses along the Rat Race according to the roll of die. The Rat Race track includes spaces on which a player can land which presents unexpected financial obstacles, but the Rat Race also includes spaces which present financial opportunities. By prudently investing as opportunities arise, a player may obtain passive income in addition to a salary. Once a player's passive income exceeds his/her expenses, the player moves to the Fast Track for further play. On the Fast Track, a player enjoys the greatly improved life of one who has accumulated significant wealth. However, provision is made for unexpected problems in various Fast Track spaces along which a player moves. Thus, a player's ongoing financial condition while on the Fast Track is also carefully updated using basic accounting principles of personal finance. The game is played in accordance with formal rules which include provisions for declaring a winner.

A set of dice utilizing five die each having the shape of a dodecahedron with twelve flat surfaces. Symbols representing the face and number cards of a standard 52 card deck of playing cards are distributed over the surface of the dice and displayed thereon. Each die displays at least 10 and at most 11 of the symbols, and the latter are distributed so that the symbols of a particular suit on one die vary in their value by at least five increments while the four remaining dice have a similar distribution except for one combination. Additionally, the dice may have the symbols distributed so that no die has two symbols of the same value but different suits. Surfaces of the dice not having card symbols display markings which can be ''''wild cards'''' and/or may further serve promotional purposes such as the advertising of goods or services. This distribution of the card symbols over the dice enables the playing of many card games, particularly poker.

Identifiers are read from playing cards collected after completion of at least one hand of a card game, such as blackjack, and the value of a hand is determined from the resulting sequence of read identifiers (i.e., ending sequence). The playing cards are collected in a defined order, such as from players in order from a dealer's right to left, and finally from the dealer. The cards, and the play of the game, can be validated based at least in part on the ending sequence. Identifiers may also be read from cards before or while dealing the card game to produce an initial sequence.
