    摘要: A controllable emitter of an irrigation apparatus including a drip line and a control station configured to control a pressure of pressurized fluid in the drip line is provided. The controllable emitter is disposable along the drip line and includes a container coupled to the drip line, the container being formed to define an interior and including an inlet through which the pressurized fluid is receivable in the interior from the drip line and an outlet through which the pressurized fluid is exhaustible from the interior, a piston, including a magnetic element, disposed at least partially in the container to occupy a position in accordance with the pressure of the pressurized fluid and a sensor configured to sense a position of the magnetic element and to communicate a sensed position to the control station.

    摘要: Whole grain flour is produced from a cereal grain such as wheat by removing an outer layer of the grain, and also some of the endosperm. The removed outer layer comprises 5% to 40% of the original weight of the grain. The removed parts of the grain are comminuted during the removal of the outer layer. Both the grain and the comminuted removed outer layer are then conveyed into a milling device and are milled to form whole grain flour.

In one embodiment, the transgenic plant expresses short interfering RNA (siRNA) for the one or more lignin biosynthesis pathway enzymes that forms a double-strand to activate RNA interference (RNAi). The RNAi decreases expression of the one or more lignin biosynthesis pathway enzymes in the transgenic plant. In a second embodiment, the transgenic plant has a cDNA for the one or more lignin biosynthesis pathway enzymes to increase expression of the one or more lignin biosynthesis pathway enzymes in the transgenic plant.

    摘要: A mobile system for processing raw ears of corn includes a first mobile processing trailer for receiving raw unhusked ears of corn, holding the ears and disbursing the ears to a first conveyor. The first conveyor transports the ears to a second mobile trailer for further processing. The second mobile trailer includes a husker for removing corn husks and corn silk from the ears, a cutting mechanism for removing kernels from the ears after the husks and silk are removed, and a second conveyor for transporting the corn husks, corn silk, and corn cobs from the second trailer. A third conveyor transports the kernels to a third mobile trailer for further processing. The third mobile trailer includes a cooling tank for chilling the kernels and a conveyor for transporting the kernels to transportation receptacles for transportation to a cannery for further processing.

    摘要: A coffee grinding apparatus which includes a coffee bean grinding mechanism and a weighing device associated with the grinding mechanism to weigh ground coffee. A receptacle is associated with the weighing device and positioned below the grinding mechanism for receiving ground coffee from the grinding mechanism. The weighing device generates an actual weight signal corresponding to the weight of the ground coffee dispensed into the receptacle. A selecting device is provided to allow a user to select a weight of ground coffee to be produced by the apparatus. A dispensing assembly may be associated with a whole bean hopper, the selecting device and weighing device are coupled to a control circuit which controls the grinding apparatus. The control circuit operates the dispensing assembly and/or the grinding mechanism as a function of a comparison of the actual weight signal and the selected weight signal. As the relationship between the selected weight signal and actual weight signal approaches parity, the control circuit controls to dispensing assembly and/or grinding mechanism to controllably approach the selected weight of ground coffee.

    摘要: A device for the wet treating of seed material includes a rotation-symmetrical treating chamber assembled of a conically shaped, downwardly sloping upper wall and of a frustoconical downwardly sloping bottom wall defining a central discharge opening. A circumferential annular gap connects the upper surface of the upper wall with the inner surface of the lower wall. A spraying device for a treating liquid is arranged in the treating chamber. Seed material is fed from a storage container through a gravity pipe arranged concentrically above the upper wall of the treating chamber. A dosing pipe surrounding a lower part of the gravity pipe is provided near its lower end with an internal expansion having an annular bottom surface and a discharge opening, the diameter of which at most slightly exceeds the inner diameter of the gravity pipe. The dosing pipe is guided for limited coaxial displacement relative to the gravity pipe. A deflecting surface is disposed concentrically below the discharge opening of the dosing pipe, which is supported via resilient energy storing means permanently urging said dosing pipe into a rest position, in which the annular clearance between the deflecting surface and the lower end of the dosing pipe has a predetermined breadth. The energy storing means and the dimensions of the expansion are mutually adjusted such that during operation the weight of the seed material collected on the annular bottom surface of the expansion automatically regulates the breadth of the annular clearance to provide a uniform flow rate of the seed material.
