摘要: A two-piece plastic ball bearing cage is designed to handle high-speed applications. Posts on one bearing half fit into holes in the other bearing half After the two halves are brought together, ultrasonic vibration is applied to the ends of the posts. The ultrasonic vibration deforms the post end to fit into a widened portion of the holes and welds material, thereby firmly securing the two cage halves to one another.

The bearing cage segment includes first and second circumferentially directed joint edges, the first joint edge is configured to connect to the second joint edge of the bearing cage segment or to a second joint edge of another sheet metal bearing cage segment, and the first joint edge includes at least one body of welding material projecting from the joint edge. The body of welding material may be pressed against the second joint edge while leaving a gap between the joint edges, and the welding material can be liquified by a resistance welding process to connect the joint edges.

摘要: A method for producing a molded body of particularly steel, and including a hub and a bell-shaped lower part axially connected thereto, in which an inner contour is made in the lower part by non-cutting forming in a convex region. The inner contour includes of ball tracks and cage paths that are concave in the axial direction and arranged in a peripherally alternating manner, for receiving rolling bodies, the cage paths being shallower than the ball tracks. The hub is formed from a rotating round blank and reducing the thickness thereof using at least one pressure roller. The flat region of the round blank that radially connects to the hub is pressed onto contour segments of a rotating first inner contour tool, partially forming the inner contour using at least one axially and radially moving pressure roller to form a preform of the lower part. The fixed preform is pressed against contour segments of a second inner contour tool by a die of partial dies, fully forming the cage paths and ball tracks.

After obtaining an intermediate raw material 35 having a cylindrical section and a bottom plate section from a metal raw material, shot peening is performed on the intermediate material 35 to create residual compressive stress in the surface and surface layer section on the outer surface side of the cylindrical section 8a and the bottom plate section 9a such that the residual compressive stress in the surface layer section on the outer surface side is greater than the in the surface layer section on the inner surface side, and from the surface to a depth of 0.03 mm is 700 MPa to 1600 MPa.

摘要: There is provided a method capable of producing a wheel-supporting rolling bearing unit at low cost. In an event of producing a wheel-supporting rolling bearing unit, a cylindrical portion formed in an axial end portion of a hub ring is inserted through an inner ring, swing caulking is performed by pressing a die against a tip end portion of the cylindrical portion protruding to an axial end portion side more than the inner ring and an axial end surface of the inner ring is held by a caulked portion formed by caulking and expanding the tip end portion of the cylindrical portion radially outward. In such a way, the inner ring and the hub ring are fixed integrally witch each other. At this time, a swing angle of the swing caulking is set at 15 degrees or more to 30 degrees or less.
