摘要: Partial integrated core-shell investment casting molds that can be assembled into complete molds are provided herein. Each section of the partial mold may contain both a portion of a core and portion of a shell. Each section can then be assembled into a mold for casting of a metal part. The partial integrated core-shell investment casting molds and the complete molds may be provided with filament structures corresponding to cooling hole patterns on the surface of the turbine blade or the stator vane, which provides a leaching pathway for the core portion after metal casting. Core filaments that can be used to supplement the leaching pathway, for example in a core tip portion of the mold are also provided herein.

摘要: Provided is a core manufacturing apparatus including: a storage unit configured to store core sand; a kneading vessel configured to be fed with the core sand; a kneading rod configured to knead the core sand; and a piston configured to eject the kneaded core sand. The kneading vessel is capable of transitioning between a horizontally lying state and a vertically standing state and configured to be fed with the core sand in the horizontally lying state. The piston is configured to eject and pack the core sand into a mold with the kneading vessel in the vertically standing state. The storage unit is turnably coupled to the kneading vessel and configured to remain coupled to the kneading vessel in the same posture while the kneading vessel turns.

摘要: A core molding method for molding a core having a twisted shape by use of a core mold includes a curing step and a mold extracting step. In the curing step, after the core mold is disposed along a vertical direction within a frame whose top is open, a self-hardening sand formed of a kneaded mixture of a sand, a resin and a curing agent is charged into the frame from the top of the frame, and then cured. In the mold extracting step, the core mold is extracted in the vertical direction from the core formed of the cured self-hardening sand while rotating the core mold and the frame relatively to each other around an axis of the core mold.

The machine also includes a curing tool by means of which the material previously transferred by the transfer tool is hardened and which is arranged in an operating position over the material to perform the hardening once the transfer tool has moved out of its operating position. The machine includes at least one articulated arm for moving the transfer tool and the curing tool to the respective operating position.

摘要: A core molding method for molding a core having a twisted shape by use of a core mold includes a curing step and a mold extracting step. 摘要: A device for hardening a core mass containing sand contained within a foundry core forming tool includes a mixing device in communication with the foundry core forming tool for introducing a flow of a carrier gas stream enriched by catalyst vapor into the core mass containing sand; a first runnings system including a catalyst receiver tank containing catalyst, a first runnings pipe in communication with the catalyst receiver tank and the mixing device, a pump provided in the first runnings pipe for pumping catalyst from the catalyst receiver tank through the first runnings pipe, valve device provided in the first runnings pipe for dispensing catalyst into the mixing device, and a flow meter provided in the first running pipe between the pump and the valve device; a compressed air source in communication with the mixing device for providing a carrier gas stream comprised of air thereto; and programmed control device for controlling the valve device of the first runnings system and the compressed air source; wherein the valve device provided in the first runnings pipe may be temporarily utilized as a return pipe to the receiver tank by signal from the programmed control device so that pressure equalization in the first runnings system is obtained. The above device is useful for hardening a foundry core within a core forming tool of a core shooter by providing the core forming tool with such a device.

摘要: A device for filling shooting heads (1) with molding materials (2), the device being provided with a filling assembly (6) that comprises a storage hopper (3) for the molding material (2), an outlet member (4) for discharging the molding material (2) into the shooting head (1), and a gate (5) for closing the outlet member (4). The filling assembly (6) being mounted on a machine frame (7) for vertical movement, so as to immerse the outlet member (4) into the shooting head (1), and it is constructed for filling the shooting head (1) in an exact, reproducible manner. For this purpose a noncontacting sensor (8) is mounted to the outlet member (4), the sensor (8) being directed into the shooting head (1) so as to detect therein the filling level.

摘要: In a core blowing machine, a core collecting device including a plurality of core collecting trays is provided, which is positioned at a core removal area of the machine and comprises a support bed on which a first set of guides is provided for guiding a carriage in a longitudinal direction thereof. A frame common for all core collecting trays is integrally connected to the carriage. The frame has a second set of guides which are transversal to the first set. A slide block is positioned on each pair of transversal guides and a tilting support holding the corresponding tray is fitted on each slide block. A tilting cylinder is provided for each tray, which is connected between the slide block and the support. A displacement cylinder for the slide blocks, which connects the latter to the frame, and a further cylinder for the displacement of the carriage, connecting the carriage to the support bed are further provided so that each tray, and consequently each core, may be displaced longitudinally, transversally and tilted from a horizontal position to a vertical position.

摘要: An apparatus for the production of cores from fluidized sands in hot boxes comprises individual mechanisms for joining and disjoining top and bottom sections of core boxes, which are placed beyond the confines of the latter. The joining mechanism incorporates at least two spring-loaded grapples mounted on individual shafts, fitted in satellites and positioned on a transport device, so as to carry core boxes. Located at one end of each grapple is a wedging member which co-operates with a wedging member provided on the top section of each core box. The disjoining mechanism includes stops, positioned on a support frame, and rollers mounted on the other end of each grapple for interaction with the stops.

摘要: A foundry core making machine is disclosed which produces large or fragile cores. The core is initially made in two parts, which are later adhered together by movement between first and second stations. The separate core halves are made in third and fourth stations and then relatively moved to be in the first and second stations, vertically one above the other, and with flat surfaces facing each other. The core box booking means is utilized to move the lower core half upwardly against the upper core half to have the two adhere together. This same booking means was previously used to press vent grooves in one core half so that when the two core halves were assembled, a generally centrally extending core venting aperture was established. The core box ejection means then ejects the completed core from one core box in a carefully controlled movement.The foregoing abstract is merely a resume of one general application, is not a complete discussion of all principles of operation or applications, and is not to be construed as a limitation on the scope of the claimed subject matter.
