摘要: A prediction method for mold breakout based on feature vectors and hierarchical clustering is disclosed, which comprises: respectively extracting temperature feature vectors of historical data under sticking breakout and normal conditions and on-line actually measured data to establish a feature vector sample set; performing normalization and hierarchical clustering on the sample set; and checking and judging whether the feature vectors extracted on line belong to a breakout cluster, and then identifying and predicting mold breakout. The method avoids the steps of tedious adjustment and modification of alarm threshold and other parameters, overcomes the artificial dependence of the previous breakout prediction method, has good robustness and mobility; and through temperature feature extraction, achieves accurate identification of sticking breakout temperature patterns, avoids missing alarms and significantly reduces the number of times of false alarms, and greatly reduces the data calculation amount and calculation time, guaranteeing the timeliness of on-line prediction.

摘要: In a mold oscillation device for making oscillation of a mold used in a continuous casting machine, an acceleration sensor (22) detects the oscillation to produce an oscillation detection signal representative of said oscillation. The oscillation detection signal has a particular waveform. Responsive to the oscillation detection signal, a signal producing circuit (30) produces an adjusting signal with reference to the particular waveform. With reference to the adjusting signal, a control unit (16) controls the oscillation. In order to produce the adjusting signal, it is preferable that the signal producing circuit carries out a frequency analysis as regards the particular waveform.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for operating a strip casting machine for producing a metal strip during which molten metal is continuously poured between two casting rolls (3, 4) that form a casting gap. Sealing plates (2b) are provided for laterally delimiting the casting gap, whereby the sealing plates (2b) are displaced during the casting operation in an oscillating manner transversal to the direction of the axis of the casting rolls (3,) counter to the front surface (3a, 4a) of said casting rolls (3, 4). Said sealing plates (2b) are displaced in an oscillating manner in and counter to the direction of the periphery (U3 and/or U4) of the casting rolls (3, 4), whereby displacement takes place in an alternating manner along one or the other casting roll edges (3k and/or 4k). Partial solidifcations can, to a large extent, be prevented from forming and can be removed if need be. The produced metal strip has clean edges.

摘要: A continuous casting die has a casting channel (10) formed by molding plates (12) and a self-carrying frame construction with lateral openings into which the molding plates (12) can be slidingly inserted perpendicularly to the casting channel. The frame construction preferably has a top frame (14) with a passage (16) which is slightly larger than the cross-section of the casting channel (10) at the entrance of the casting die, a bottom frame (18) with a passage (20) which is slightly larger than the cross-section of the casting channel (10) at the exit of the casting die, and corner sections (22) which link the top frame (14) to the bottom frame (18). The lateral passages are delimited at their sides by the two corner sections, above by the top frame (14) and below by the bottom frame (18).
