摘要: The present invention relates to a single shaft rotary grinder with an improved cutter and combination nullcombnull rotor and counter knife configuration for reducing film, fibrous material and other material which has a tendency to wrap around the rotor, rubber, solid plastics and wood. Reducing this type of material, such as plastic film, into small pieces has been problematic. This invention provides one or more comb shaped counter knives and a rotor having a plurality of geometrically shaped cutters mounted in a plurality of partial or full rows longitudinally along the rotor. The comb shaped counter knives and the rows of cutters work in cooperation to reduce film and other material into small pieces.

The sheet cutter has a fixed blade, a movable blade which is movable along the fixed blade, and a receiving element which receives a sheet piece which is cut off from the sheet. The receiving element is structured so as to be movable together with the movable blade as the movable blade moves. The receiving element may be structured such that it is translationally movable in a direction substantially perpendicular to the moving direction of the movable blade.

摘要: A machine for slitting a metal sheet has a number of knife holder assemblies each containing a rotary knife. The knife holder assemblies are mounted for movement along upper and lower rotating shafts which rotate the knives during a slitting operation. The position of the knife holder assemblies is programmably controlled for efficient and accurate positioning and adjustment of the knives along the rotating shafts for a variety of slitting configurations. Additionally, each of the upper and lower drive shafts contains a pair of drive shaft sections that are normally connected together during operation and can be disconnected for servicing of the knife holder assemblies on the shafts. The slitting machine includes upper and lower frames that are movable relative to each other by adjustment of a pair of jack screws to slit metal sheets of differing thicknesses without labor intensive adjustment or reconfiguration of the machine.

The body piece may be positioned at any point along the support arm, its cutting assembly thus being positionable to select a cut line such that a workpiece may be severed or scored at virtually any width desired. A method of cutting a sheet material is also provided, which employs the aforementioned cutting tool.

摘要: The apparatus for trimming sheet material includes a top knife and an opposing bottom knife for trimming sheet or web material passing between the top and bottom knives. The top knife defines a negative rake angle with a substantially vertical plane passing through a cutting edge of the bottom knife. The negative rake angle may be between about null10null and null30null and, more preferably, between about null12null and null20null. The top and bottom knives may be disk or block knives.

摘要: A cutting apparatus for cutting a material, such as leather, having a drum, a plurality of rollers, a cutter and a pair of belts. The drum includes a drum surfaces and rotates about an axis. The cutter has a cutting edge that is in contact with the drum surface and is oriented generally perpendicular to the axis. The rollers are arranged generally parallel to the axis and support the belts for rotation thereon. Each of the belts is disposed on an opposite side of the cutting edge and is positioned such that a portion of each belt extends about a corresponding portion of the drum surface forward of the cutting edge. The portion of the belts and the portion of the drum surface are positioned to frictionally co-engage the material and drive the material into contact with the cutting edge.
