    摘要: A machine tool for the cutting process of work pieces and having at least one horizontally lodged work spindle, preferably for high speed and/or high precision processing. The work spindle displaces on and/or inside a frame-like tool carrier vertically placed on a machine support having slides moving along x-, y- and z-axes. According to the invention, the frame-like tool carrier (3) has an associated frame-like work piece holder (2), which is also placed vertically on the machine support (1). The work piece holder (2) and the tool carrier (3) are interconnected as one single stable unit by one or several connecting elements (8) in the area of their upper horizontal traverse (4, 6).

    摘要: An articulated milling arm for a milling instrument, which includes a milling arm support movably attached to a frame to allow vertical displacement of the milling arm support; a first vertical axle, rotatably connecting the first milling arm support to a middle portion of the milling arm to allow swiveling of the middle portion of the milling arm horizontally about a vertical axis of the first vertical axle, the first vertical axle being provided with a braking surface; a second vertical axle, rotatably connecting the middle portion of the milling arm to a milling unit support to allow swiveling of the milling unit support horizontally about a vertical axis of the second vertical axle, the second vertical axle also being provided with a braking surface. The milling arm is provided with a movable braking plate, on the middle portion of the milling arm, which movably contacts the braking surface of the first vertical axle and the breaking surface of the second vertical axle. The invention further provides that the common braking plate is pressurized pneumatically or hydraulically via a diaphragm which presses against the braking surfaces of the two vertical axles in order to fix the articulated milling arm horizontally.

    摘要: A numerically controlled machine tool is disclosed including a spindle support structure for moving the spindle having a tool mounted thereon in directions along an X-axis, a Y-axis and a Z-axis, a workpiece support structure having an indexing workpiece mounting table, and a chip discharge means located between the spindle support structure and the workpiece support structure for discharging chips produced in the machining area to the outside. Since the workpiece mounting table is allowed for rotational indexing, the setup process for the workpiece can be performed with the workpiece mounting surface of the workpiece mounting table facing upward, and therefore the setup process can be shortened while at the same time improving the machine operating rate. Also, since the spindle support structure, the workpiece support structure and the chip discharge means can be configured separately from each other, the machine tool can be manufactured and installed easily.

    摘要: A spindle protective structure in a spindle-through coolant feeder capable of preventing coolant form invading a spindle and a spindle motor for an excessive overflow of coolant. Coolant is supplied into a through hole formed axially in the spindle or a shaft connected to the spindle through a stationary member and a rotary member of a rotary joint supported by a housing. A seal member having elasticity is provided on a circumferential surface of the spindle or the shaft. Coolant which leaks through the seal member is splashed by a fringer provided in the housing. When a large amount of coolant is overflowed in the housing, a pressure of the coolant in a first chamber of the housing increases to press a lip of the seal member towards the circumferential surface of the spindle or the shaft to prevent leakage of coolant into a second chamber of the housing. Thus, the excessive overflow of coolant is prevented from invading the spindle and the spindle motor for a long enough time for an operator to take countermeasure for the leakage of coolant.
