    摘要: A machining method of a press die having a pierce cutter and a secondary relief-clearance area recessed inward relative to a profile of the pierce cutter is provided. A plunge cutting tool having a tool body and at least one edge portion provided on an outer circumference of an end of the tool body is used, the edge portion being protruding from the outer circumference of the tool body and being capable of carving while rotating around an axis of the tool body and moving in an axial direction of the tool body. While rotating the plunge cutting tool with an axis of the tool body being approximately parallel to a surface of the pierce cutter, the plunge cutting tool is relatively moved along the profile of the pierce cutter. The plunge cutting tool is also relatively moved in the axial direction of the tool body along the shape of the pierce cutter and the secondary relief-clearance area in a piercing direction each time the plunge cutting tool is relatively moved by a predetermined pitch.

The seal-up housing comprises two or more housing parts which are segmented circumferentially of the existing pipe. The seal-up housing encloses a part including the collection opening of the existing pipe. One of the housing parts is formed with a collection space and a drain port. The collection space serves to collect dirt or foreign substances through the collection opening. The drain port is provided for discharging the dirt or foreign substances stored in the collection space.

    摘要: To improve a metal-cutting process for machining cylindrical contours, especially eccentric cylindrical contours on a workpiece mounted to rotate about a longitudinal axis, especially with eccentric crankshaft bearings using a lathe tool, producing a finished contour that either has end measures of satisfactory surface quality or has oversize for finish machining such as grinding or dressing, so that while maintaining or enhancing surface quality and maintaining or enhancing dimensional accuracy, machining times are reduced and overall economic efficiency is raised, the invention proposes that the tools tipped with cutting inserts, especially throw-away cutting inserts, are engaged successively or even simultaneously and that at least one part of the cutting inserts is guided in relation to the workpiece at an effective cutting angle (&ggr;f) between −5° and +5° and/or a positive tool back wedge angle (&ggr;p).
