    摘要: A pipe-tapered-thread machining tap has a thread, four spiral flutes and four cutting edges that include a plurality of thread intersection portions at each of which a corresponding one of the four cutting edges intersects with the thread. The thread intersection portions of the cutting edges have four groups, such that each of the four groups has ones of the thread intersection portions that are portions of a corresponding one of the four cutting edges. Every two of the thread intersection portions of each of the four groups is removed, such that, in each of the four groups, at least one of the thread intersection portions that is removed and at least another one of the thread intersection portions that is not removed are alternately arranged in a direction in which a corresponding one of the four cutting edges extends.

A leading rod is attached to the clamping chariot. The leading rod includes the peeler opening and closing controller, and the threader opening and closing controller. The controllers are supported by a carriage set, and the threader is able to travel forward and backward. The peeler opening controller and threader opening controller are adjustable by moving them along leading rod to accommodate various thread length.

    摘要: A removable cover and seal is disclosed for the oil reservoir of a power driven threading machine to facilitate transportation and storage of the machine without having to drain the oil reservoir. The cover is comprised of sheet metal having a flange about the outer peripheral edge thereof which conforms to the contour of the inner surface of the oil reservoir and is provided with a neoprene sealing gasket adapted to be compressed between the flange and inner surface of the oil reservoir when in covering and sealing relationship therewith. The cover is removably mounted on the reservoir and biased to maintain the sealing gasket compressed against the reservoir walls by means of spring clips mounted on the cover and interengaging with portions of the machine housing.

    摘要: This invention is concerned with a work holder for a slotted tube to be deformed, preferably by moving the tube to a deforming work station and preventing the tube from rotating. The tube is fitted with an internal mandrel which is held in a fixed position by a vice. The mandrel has an upright blade that extends through the keyway of the slotted tube so that the tube can be slid along the mandrel relative to the deforming work station. In one method, continuous lengths of hollow pipes, tubes and the like can be threaded or otherwise externally deformed by supporting the workpiece internally with the mandrel. By changing the mandrel size, tubes of varying diameter can be accommodated. The deformed workpiece can be used in a variety of applications, one of which is a threaded hollow tube or stem member that has a cap welded to the rim of the tube to provide a pedestal cap of improved strength.

Each of the insert holders pivotally supports a centering link associated with an adjacent jaw so as to be actuated in response to pivotal displacement of the jaws radially inwardly of the spindle axis to control the attitude of the insert holders so that the inserts are directed radially inwardly of the spindle axis to assure a uniform gripping action by the two inserts of each holder upon engagement with the workpiece. The centering links also displace the workpiece to a centered position coaxial with the spindle axis during inward displacement of the jaws.
