The method comprises rolling a continuous metal tube to form a series of connected ball valve body blanks by roller means, punching or milling the blanks to form at least one valve stem fastening slot thereon, rubbing or polishing surfaces of the blanks to form substantially rounded surfaces, and cutting the blanks into a plurality of ball valve bodies each having two opposite openings in communication each other.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for mounting components such as stems to other components such as plugs is provided. In accordance with one example embodiment of the present invention, a method of connecting and locking a stem within a component includes the step of disposing the stem in a first end of a passage formed in the component. The method continues by deforming an end portion of the stem to permanently non-rotationally lock the stem within the passage of the component. The step of deforming includes pressing a coining device into a second end of the passage to engage with an end portion of the stem and configure the stem for permanent non-rotational mounting within the component.

    摘要: A medical balloon, implantable in human tissue, of unitary silicone construction. The balloon is self-sealing upon removal of an inflation implement. The balloon device comprises a molded valve portion which is dip-coated in a silicone dispersion to create a balloon wall around and integral with the valve portion. Preferably, both the valve portion and the balloon wall are comprised of the same silicone material. The dipping process, combined with a vulcanizing process, creates a laminar wall which is strong and resistant to separation during inflation. The balloons may be used in for the treatement of urinary incontinence or vesicoureteral reflux, alternative procedures such as emboliztion or blocking of veins or arteries to accomplish the treatement of enlarged blood vessels in the brain or for treating severe uterine bleeding.
