    摘要: A raw parallelepiped metal piece is pressed into a closed mold to provide a nut blank that has a generally square pilot portion (14) for piercing a metal panel, the nut blank having a pair of flanges (16) that continue from opposite side walls (15) of the pilot portion. Then, the nut blank is coined to form ridges (20) extending along and integral with opposite upper edges of the side walls (15), before pressed within an open mold so that the ridges are swaged out sideways to form shoulders (21). A lateral groove (22) is defined between below each shoulder and in the side wall. A rough bore (23) will be formed axially through the pilot portion (14), before tapped to have a female thread (24) in the inner periphery of the bore.

    摘要: An inner cutter for a dry shaver is fabricated from a metal plate to have a plurality of blades each provided with cutting edges. The metal plate includes a plurality of parallel straight slits to leave an array of straight beams each defined between the adjacent ones of the slits. The beams are forged and ground at a segment of each beam to give the cutting edges thereto. After making the cutting edges, the metal plate is bent into a generally U-shaped configuration so as to correspondingly curve the beams and shape the beams into the blades having the arcuate contour and the cutting edges. The metal plate is provided with a joint for connection with a driving source of moving the inner cutter relative to an outer cutter.

    摘要: 9 In accordance with certain aspects of the invention, an exemplary claim can define the steps of providing a rotating mount for the initially cast prosthesis in association with a numerically or computer controlled grinding machine. The grinding wheel is rotatably supported so that the wheel can translate vertically and axially relative to the axis of the workpiece, and can pivot in a plane generally parallel to the axis of the workpiece. In one step, the stem of the workpiece is rotated as the grinding wheel is held in position substantially perpendicular to the axis of the stem. The grinding wheel is then retracted and repositioned along the length of the stem through a series of successive positions. At each position, the grinding wheel is rotated in contact with the rotating workpiece. Once the grinding wheel is positioned at the transition region, the workpiece is preferably rotated through 180null on both sides of the transition region. When the grinding wheel is repositioned, it is not only moved axially relative to the workpiece, but also pivoted through a succession of angular positions until the grinding wheel is aligned with the shoulder of the prosthesis at the last position of the grinding wheel.

An intermediate inspection is performed about presence/absence of any defect in the clad metal using the control surface. When a defect is detected, the clad metal is removed, and a laser-cladding is performed again. Since an extra metal where an amount of clad metal required can be secure exists, re-cladding can be made possible.

The method includes the steps of providing a rolled sheet of metal material having an initial thickness and forming a blank having a prescribed outer shape from the material. The method also includes machining a second side of the blank such that the resulting face plate has a variable thickness. The machining is such that the plate has a first thickness less than or equal to the initial thickness, a second thickness less than the first thickness and a third thickness less than the second thickness. The machining is performed over a substantial portion of the surface area of the second side. Either a CNC lathe or milling machine may be used; however, for an axisymmetric face thickness a CNC lathe is preferred and for an asymmetric face thickness a CNC end mill is preferred. The club head may be a wood-type or iron, and titanium or steel alloys may be used.
