摘要： A portable, collapsible engine support apparatus. The device is attachable to the fender or firewall of the vehicle and is mountable either transversely or longitudinally above the engine compartment. A pair of primary load bearing metal angles are secured on opposite sides of the open engine compartment on either the fender or firewall. A pair of upstanding posts approximately centrally positioned on the upward facing surface of the angle, each of the upstanding posts including connection means adapted to lockingly receive horizontal support bars. A central connector allows for adjustment of the spacing between the metal angles. A flexible, adjustable attachment means depends from the central connector, the attachment means adaptable for engagement with the main engine hold. Adjustment of the attachment means to a desired tension ensures a high degree of positional stability of the engine when performing major repairs.

摘要： A fixture is provided for locating a workpiece in space including a blade having a longitudinal axis, a bottom edge, a top edge, and a plurality of through-bores. At least two of the through-bores are positioned on the blade to define a predetermined location relative to the top and bottom edges, and together with a riser, allow for the precise positioning of a locating pin, or other datum point locator, that may be attached to the blade. The blade also includes a mounting arm that is eccentrically located on a top edge. The mounting arm has a plurality of through-bores, where at least two of the through-bores define a predetermined location relative to the top edge. A locating pin, or other datum point locator is attached to the mounting arm. The fixture is particularly adapted for use in a modular system of fixtures, in that by stocking a variety of blades, each with a different set of through-bore locations, a different positioning fixture may be formed, as needed, without the need for custom manufacturing of blades. Also, due to the eccentric location of the mounting arm on the blade, a simple rotation of the blade about its longitudinal axis allows for a doubling of the locations at which a locating pin, or other datum point locator may be positioned in space. These features allow for kits of blades to provided from which a variety of fixtures may be created.

摘要： A motor test mount apparatus comprises a mount cylinder having bearings fitted for supporting a bearing rod positioned for rotation within the bearings. 摘要： A fixture supports and secures a printed circuit board (“PCB”) during processing thereof. The fixture includes a frame for supporting the PCB and an attachable and entirely detachable bar or plate for securing the PCB in the fixture. A first opening is defined by the frame and is of sufficient dimensions to expose a first surface of the PCB. The plate defines a second opening, the second opening being of sufficient dimensions to expose a second surface of the PCB for processing. Spring-loaded latch assemblies connect the bar or plate to the frame at its ends or corners, respectively. The latch assemblies are simultaneously actuated by application of a slight pressure on the plate or bar. Simultaneous actuation of the latch assemblies ensures uniform application of pressure on the PCB, to avoid creation of a moment in the board. The latch assemblies do not require an operator's individual, repeated manipulation, but are actuated with a single application of slight pressure to the plate or bar.

摘要： A clamp for securing a tool to a multi-piece panel assembly. The clamp is especially suited for applications where access to only one side of the panel assembly is available. The clamp uses a blind temporary fastener that is secured to the panel assembly to hold the independent panels of the assembly together. The clamp includes an sleeve member that is attached to the temporary fastener and a socket that attaches to the sleeve member and is axially adjustable therewith. The clamp attaches to the temporary fastener without modification of the temporary fastener and clamps the tool to the panel assembly. The clamp is adjustable for a variety of tool thicknesses and can be removed without removal of the temporary fastener.

摘要： A clamp for clamping a workpiece such as a forging of an aerofoil component comprises a support body 24 to which a clamping member 26 is hinged. The clamping member 26 has a workpiece clamping element 54 having pads 58 for engagement with the workpiece. The workpiece clamping element 54 is pivotable relatively to the clamping member 26 by means of a ball and socket connection including a ball element 40. This enables the workpiece clamping element 54 to self-align with the profile of the workpiece, for example with a surface of the blade 6 of the aerofoil component. In an alterative embodiment, the workpiece clamping element 54 is formed integrally with the clamping member 26, but is connected thereto by a necked region of the clamping member 26 which permits flexure of the workpiece clamping element 54 relatively to the clamping member 26.
