    Abstract: A lifting and support device comprises a first yoke having a first support arm that defining a first wedge slot above the first support arm and a second yoke pivotally coupled to the first yoke having a second support arm inwardly extending toward and laterally spaced from the first support arm and defining a second wedge slot above the second support arm. The first and second wedge slots are substantially aligned when the first and second yokes are in a closed position. A wedge is configured for insertion within the first and second wedge slots when the first and second wedge slots are substantially aligned to hold a structure between the wedge and the first and second support arms of the first and second yokes in order to support a structure relative to the lifting and support device.

    Abstract: A device and method for holding a bit for a tool. The holding device, which is secured to a support surface, includes a housing having a base, a first leg and a second leg. A slot is defined between the first and second legs and the shank of the bit is received through one of a plurality of differently dimensioned apertures defined along the slot between the first and second legs. An adjustment assembly is engaged with the first and second legs and is movable to a first position to clamp the shank in the selected aperture; and is movable to a second position to release the shank. When the adjustment assembly is moved from the second position to the first position, a free end of the second leg bends toward the first leg, thereby reducing the diameter of the aperture within which the shank is received.

    Abstract: An adjustable fixture includes a lower clamp piece, an upper clamp piece covering the lower clamp piece at a closed position to define a clamping space. The upper clamp piece has an anti-hook edge projecting outward. A torque rod has a first end pivoted to one side of the lower clamp piece. A traction element has a first traction end pivoted to the torque rod adjacent to the first end thereof and a second traction end that defines a threaded through hole to receive a thread bolt threadedly and movably therethrough; and a hook disposed on a second traction end of the traction element and operably associated so as to be movable together with the threaded bolt in such a manner to engage the hook with the anti-hook edge of the upper clamp piece when the upper clamp piece is disposed at the closed position.

    Abstract: A holding tool for releasably securing a shaft from rotation relative to the holding tool. The holding tool may have a head including a pair of semi-cylindrical main bodies, each head having a hinge flange extending from a respective first end of the main body and a bolt flange extending from a respective, opposed second end of the main body, with each bolt flange including a fastener hole; a hinge pivotally securing the hinge flanges together; a fastener received through the fastener hole and selectively biasing the bolt flanges toward one another; a pair of semi-cylindrical shaped resilient inserts, each secured to an inner surface of the main bodies, defining a cylindrical channel to receive the shaft; and a handle extending generally radially outward from the head. The holding tool may be used to secure a propshaft to a vehicle.

    Abstract: A pitman arm removal tool and method of removing a pitman arm from a steering box shaft is provided. The pitman arm removal tool includes a puller arm for engaging a lower surface of the pitman arm. A linking arm connects a first end of the lever arm to a first end of the puller arm, the linking arm being pivotally connected to the lever arm and the puller arm.
