摘要: Dynamic regulation of contact pressures in a blade sharpening system is provided. An example multiphase grinding wheel has a grinding face with one or more abrasive concentric rings for sharpening the cutting blade of the log saw machine, and one or more padded concentric rings consisting of fiber padding. Sharpening with the multiphase grinding wheel improves cut quality, increases blade life, removes glues and varnishes from the cutting blade, reduces blade deformation, and hones the edge of the cutting blade. A pneumatic tensioning system uses air bladders to apply dynamic cushioning and processor-controlled contact pressure between the grinding wheels and the cutting blade during sharpening. The fiber-padded grinding wheels and the air bladder tensioner provide improved sharpness of the cutting blade and longer life for the mechanical components.

摘要: A cutting machine for the transversal cutting of logs of paper material, including a cutting unit, at least one sharpening unit with two grinding wheels and a device for positioning the grinding wheels. The device includes a primary carriage and two secondary carriages. The primary carriage has a surface arranged at a predetermined distance from the plane of the blade and forming a surface for controlling the run of the secondary carriages. In a first step of positioning the grinding wheels, the secondary carriages bring the abrasive side of the grinding wheels into contact with the surface. In a second step, the secondary carriages bring the abrasive side of the grinding wheels to the plane. In a third step, the primary actuators move the primary carriage until the abrasive side of the grinding wheels contacts the blade.

摘要: The machine includes a feeding path for the logs to be cut and a cutting head arranged along the feeding path. The cutting head includes a coupling for a disc-shaped cutting blade and is designed to impart the disc-shaped cutting blade a rotary motion around the axis thereof and a cyclic movement to cut the logs into single rolls, and to allow the logs to move forward along the feeding path. The machine also includes at least a grinding unit, including at least one grinding wheel mounted onto a rotation shaft and co-acting with a side of the disc-shaped cutting blade to grind the cutting edge of the same disc-shaped cutting blade. A controlled approach system is also provided to move the grinding wheel towards the disc-shaped cutting blade.

摘要: A method of manufacturing an agricultural tillage disk blade includes providing a substantially circular-shaped disk body with an outer peripheral edge and a central opening that defines a rotation axis, the outer body being disposed within a first plane. A plurality of waves is formed in a predetermined pattern in the outer peripheral edge of the disk body, and the outer peripheral edge is sharpened to form a plurality of teeth such that at least a portion of the sharpened outer peripheral edge is disposed within a second plane that is parallel to the first plane and substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis. The method also includes machining a plurality of relief portions in each of the plurality of waves at a location radially inward of the plurality of teeth, and heat treating the disk body after the sharpening and machining steps.
