摘要： A string cutter includes two handles, two fixing devices, and a cutting string. The cutting string has two ends each secured on the respective handle by the respective fixing device. Each of the two handles includes a loop-shaped handgrip for insertion and holding of a user's fingers. The handgrip has two sides each provided with a protection rib, for encompassing and protecting the user's fingers received in the handgrip. Thus, when the cutting string is broken due to wear or excessive pull and is sprung toward thehandles, the broken cutting string will be blocked and stopped by the protection rib of each of the two handles, thereby efficiently preventing the broken cutting string from injuring the user's fingers, so as to protect the user's safety.

摘要： A scraper has an arcuately contoured elastomeric molded over plastic ergonomic handle. The scraper handle has a proximate end slot and recess. A permanent rare earth magnet is fixedly disposed at the bottom wall of the recess. A ferro-metallic file is slidably disposed and seated in the recess with the file contactingly engaging the magnet. The handle is formed with a vertically disposed through hole so that the user can access the file and forcibly slidably remove the file to sharpen the scraper blade edge. The scraper has a 4-way blade, formed with two spoon shaped blades for fine scraping and two flat folded edges for rough scraping. All four edges are ground to the same large radius. The scraper is a pull scraper.

摘要： A multi-purpose tool including a plurality of tools useful to have available in an automobile, such as a flashlight, a tire pressure gauge, a scraper, and a fuse puller. The scraper preferably is pivotably mounted to a handle of the multi-purpose tool in a manner which permits the scraper to be positioned substantially perpendicular to the tool handles to permit scraping force to be applied to the scraper in an efficient manner. The multi-purpose tool preferably also includes a tool with pivotable jaws, such as a pair of foldable pliers, as well as a variety of pivotably mounted tools such as a cutting blade, a screwdriver, and a cap lifter. The tool preferably has two handles, each handle having storage channels for the tools coupled thereto. The tool jaws are pivotably mounted to the handles for selective movement between a storage position in the handles and a working position in which the jaws work together. Preferably, when the jaws are in a working position, the other tools coupled to the handles are in a storage channel facing another handle so that the exterior of the handles in this configuration of the multi-purpose tool is substantially smooth without tools positioned along the gripping surface, thereby increasing user comfort during use of the jawed tool.

摘要： A device for cutting and opening the packaging around intravenous fluid bags, and assisting in the removal of the capped end of the bag. The base 10 and body 16 are made out of a highly durable material to withstand constant use. The base 10 is secured to a stable surface by fasteners 12. The razor 14 is inserted into the body 26 through a slot 16, and is held in place by brackets 35. Cover 20 snaps onto the body 26, concealing the razor 14. The user lines the bag up with the guidelines 22, 22′ and slides it in between the base 10 and body 26 across the razor 14. The hook 18 facilitates removal of the capped end of the bag, readying the bag for use.

摘要： A pumpkin carving tool that has a cutter in the form of a loop projecting a selected distance from an edge of an open annular frame. In the simplest form the cutter is fixed to the frame. In an alternate embodiment the cutter is detachably mounted on the frame. The detachable cutter can be adjustably varied in the amount it projects from the frame to make different depths of carvings. The cutter is a narrow thin band of metal sharp enough to cut carvings in the outer surface of a pumpkin but not sharp enough to cut the users skin.

摘要： A food scoring knife of the presently preferred embodiment has an ergonomic handle portion and a head portion. A bottom edge of the handle portion is convex, while a bottom edge of the head portion is linear. During scoring, the user applies gentle pressure to the scoring knife, in particular, by placing fingers on a tapered finger rest, and at gripping indented sides of the handle portion. A tapered blade in the bottom edge of the head portion has a sharp cutting edge angled back toward the handle portion. The sharp edge slashes the surface of the food item as the scoring knife is pulled by the user. The convex bottom edge helps the user avoid dragging a bottom surface of the handle portion along the food item while scoring.
