    摘要: The present invention provides an injection molding die having a simplified valve gate and simplified attachment structures for the valve gate. The die includes: a first die 4 with a gate 7; a second die 20 forming, together with the first die 4, a molding cavity 23 that communicates with the gate 7; a manifold 10 containing a molding material supply path 12 communicating with the gate 7; a thermal insulation space 16 disposed between the first die 4 and the manifold 10; and a valve gate 24 disposed between the first die 4 and the manifold 10 opening and closing the gate. The valve gate 24 includes: a valve pin 25 passing through the first die 4 and the manifold 10 and opening and closing the gate 7; a sealing member 27 mounted on the manifold 10 where the valve pin 25 passes through and providing a seal between the manifold 10 and the first die 4; and a heater 29 heating the manifold 10.

    摘要: An injection block for the injection molding of thermoset polymers, such as rubber, formed from at least a pair of plates bolted or otherwise releasably held together and defining an improved runner system between the plates. Complimentary grooves formed in each plate substantially completely surrounding the portion of the runner system formed between the two plates to define, when the plates are mated together, a passage or enclosure constructed to receive a sealing member therein to prevent leakage of the material to be molded beyond the sealing member between the plates. Thus, the sealing member limits the leakage or creeping of the molding material from the runners. This is believed to limit the surface area over which the relatively high pressure under which the material is molded acts between the plates to limit the force tending to separate the plates. The plates may be releasably held together by a plurality of cap screws, bolts or screws without failure in use of the injection block. Bolting the plates together is desirable because it facilitates separating them to clean them, remove molding material, or otherwise service and maintain the injection molding block throughout its life.

At the sealing edge (31), the face surface (30) of the plug is flat, although it can be concavely curved inward or be crowned (32), much like a segment of a sphere, the diameter of which is defined by the diameter of the smallest radius of the sealing edge (31). The outer annular surface (40), which is circularly restricted, can be arranged on an elbow (38) at which the channel (15) makes the transition to become a branch of the distributor (10). In a through channel (15) with a series of branches (34) selected sections (36), the ends of which have annular surface (40) that are inclined opposite to each other, can be closed off by the associated plugs (20).
