摘要： A hand held device for compressing used or empty household containers consists generally of a long, straight handle and a small non-slip base. The handle has a hole in the center to receive the top of the container. The handle has rounded points protruding from the bottom, near the hole that receives the container top. As one slowly pushes the handle downward the points push on the structure of the top of the container. This creates points of failure, and allows the container to be crushed downward in a simple, slow, smooth manner, requiring very little downward force. The non-slip base, where the container is placed before compressing, keeps the container from slipping during compression. Before the container is compressed, the cap is loosened to let air out as it compresses. Once it is compressed, the cap is tightened, so the container remains compressed.

摘要： A tool drive apparatus and method are provided which are particularly well suited for the processing of semiconductor chips on leadframe strips. The tool drive apparatus includes at least one press having a tool-receiving space, a top and bottom tool received in the tool-receiving space, and a drive unit coupled to the at least one press for asynchronous substantially vertical movement of the top tools in adjacent presses. The drive unit includes a rotatable main shaft carrying up to six cam discs each of which may be associated with a press. This arrangement permits the processing of more than one process area on a leadframe strip in the same press cycle in one tool at a time enabling the tools to be placed closer together to shorten the processing line. The tool drive apparatus may also include a latch assembly which, when activated, creates a larger tool-receiving space for repair and maintenance of the tool in one press without affecting other presses in the processing line.

摘要： A manual trash compactor for a garbage can with an open top end and a closed bottom end. The compactor comprises a hood having an open top end and a bottom end that is attached to a top end of the garbage can. In addition, attached to the hood is a top or substantially closed surface wherein the top surface has at least one hole. There is also an adjustable arm that has a bottom end that is rotatably mounted on the top surface. The adjustable arm also has an opposite top end. Rotatably attached to the top end of the adjustable arm is a lever arm. A first end of the lever arm attaches to the adjustable arm while there is a second end that is spaced opposite the first end. Along the lever arm is a piston having a top end that is rotatably attached to the lever arm. The piston also has a bottom end that extends through the at least one hole in the top surface, with the bottom end extending into the garbage can. A compression plate is attached substantially perpendicular to the piston at the bottom end of the piston. Thus, to manually compress garbage in a garbage can, a user can close the top, and press down on the second end of the lever arm. This act rotates the adjustable arm and the lever arm so that the piston extends down, substantially perpendicular to the bottom end of the garbage can driving the compression plate onto the garbage and compacting the garbage between the compression plate and the bottom end of the garbage can.
