    摘要: In order to simplify the assembly and to achieve an improved compaction, the unit for compacting hollow bodies, for instance for non-returnable bottles, comprises a roller which can be driven, (1) featuring a plurality of protruding elements and a non-driven counter bearing (9′, 9′, 9″) with at least one recess, and is constructed in such a manner that the protruding elements, upon rotation of the roller, temporarily and at least partly engage with the recess and a deflector (6) which is downstream from the counter bearing in a rotational direction of the operated roller. Said deflector features at least one recess in which the protruding elements of the roller (1) temporarily engage during operation, at least partially.

    摘要: An exemplary method, apparatus and system of crushing a bottle may include a barrel for surrounding a bottle. The barrel may have a main body with a threaded outer surface. A plate may be slidably engaged with an inner surface of the barrel at a first end of the barrel. A nut may be operably engaged with the threads on the outer surface of the barrel. A tab portion may be integral with the plate and the tab portion engaged the nut. A cap may be repeatably attachable to an end of the barrel opposite the plate. Movement of the nut may facilitate movement of the plate and moving the plate in the direction of the lid may crush a bottle within the barrel.

Also, a tail serves to align the bottom of the bottle so that the bar code remains visible when the bottle is run through an automated recycling machine. There are two embodiments one has as component a stand and a tongue while another embodiment is without a stand and has a hingedly movable tail. Also, the tongue and the tail are configured and shaped so as to accept a variety of bottle bottom configurations and are also used for precisely aligning the bottom of the bottle for improving the way the bottle is compressed.

    摘要: A container crusher, whereby a container is crushed from top to bottom into a compact neat form, to save extra space in the refuse bin or to save for recycling. The crusher has a central aperture or recess with cut out grooves for containers with handles. Surrounding the central aperture or recess is a concave area which rests or fits onto the container just below its neck. There is provided a separate insert for smaller sized containers, which slots into the central aperture or recess. At each end of the crusher are hand grips. To crush the container the crusher is placed onto the container and the cap is removed. With both hands, one at each end of the grips, pressure is applied downwards until the container is compressed.

    摘要: A method for permanently compacting a hollow resilient structure such as a recyclable plastic container to facilitate recycling thereof. As the structure is compressed cutting blades provided on the compressing surface perforate the walls of the container thereby cutting interlocking tabs into the surface. At the same time the interlocking tabs are forced outward and through the cavity left in the walls of the container by displacement of the tabs. The tabs straddle the cavity and become locked against the walls of the container by the separating force of the resilient plastic.

    摘要: A method of producing an embedded recycled container sheet includes: (a) providing a plurality of empty recycled plastic containers; (b) flattening the plurality of empty recycled plastic containers to reduce their width by at least 80%; (c) providing a base substrate of plastic; (d) placing the plurality of flattened, empty recycled plastic containers on the base substrate; and, (e) applying a molten top layer of plastic on the plurality of flattened, empty recycled plastic containers and on the base substrate, and cooling the molten top layer, so as to embed the plurality of empty recycled plastic containers between the top layer and the base substrate. A method of producing product from the resulting sheet involves creating the product using a processing step selected from the group consisting of molding, casting, cutting, machining, and combinations of these.
