Abstract:
A method for handling a material sheet in a sheet-wise booklet making system, including the steps of advancing a sheet to a movable clamping drive at a first position, clamping the sheet in the clamping drive at the first position, moving the clamping drive in a non-linear path to a second position, establishing a fold in the sheet with a folding device, moving the clamping drive in a non-linear path to a third position, and delivering the folded sheet to a collecting device, such that a leading side and a trailing side of the folded sheet are respectively delivered to a frontside and a backside of the collecting device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a folding machine and a method of automatically folding a folding box made of a pre-grooved carton blank. The folding machine according to the invention is provided with at least one alignment means (5) for aligning said carton blank into a predeternined position on a receiving plane, a pre-folding flap (8) assigned to one tab (113) of said carton blank at a time for lifting said tabs (113) out of the receiving plane, said pre-folding flaps (8) being movable on the receiving plane, at least one fixing means (6) for securing said carton blank, at least one erecting flap (9, 10) assigned to one side wall (112) of said carton blank at a time, said erecting flap being movable on the receiving plane, and at least one connecting means assigned to one tab (113) at a time for connecting said tab (113) to the associated side walls.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a diaper includes constructing a backing sheet having an exterior surface and an interior surface so a to form an exterior of the diaper and an interior of the diaper, bonding a tissue layer to the interior surface of the backing sheet, bonding an elastic pouch to the exterior surface of the backing sheet to contain a detector module, and placing sensing electrodes within the interior of the diaper along the interior surface of the backing sheet in contact with the tissue layer that is bonded to the backing sheet, and in a direction to extend opposite the elastic pouch that is bonded to the outside of the backing sheet so as to allow the sensing electrodes to couple capacitively to the sensor module.
Abstract:
A sheet post processing machine has a first shelf for assembling a number of sheets without causing any inhibition to the speed of sheet delivery from a host printer or copier, and the assembled sheets are dumped from the first shelf to a second shelf at which the sheets are collected in sets, jogged into edge alignment, stapled at the corners or along an edge, the sets are offset from one another, and finally, dumped from the second shelf onto a stacker tray.
Abstract:
A sheet processing apparatus for stapling multiple sheets with a stapler and delivering the sheets in folio, includes a staple hitting device, a stapler having an anvil opposed to the staple hitting device with respect to a sheet path and a shifting device for shifting the sheet so as to escape a staple from a groove on the anvil after the sheet is stapled by drive of the staple hitting device.
