摘要:
A multiple ply assembly for use as a travel ticket folder is disclosed. A first and second ply define at least two panel sections and are connected to define a sleeve within one of the panel sections to accommodate insertion of material into the sleeve. The assembly also comprises a means for restricting transverse movement of the material from the sleeve. The assembly comprises two plies of substantially the same size which are joined along one entire side and partially joined along a parallel opposing side. A non-joined portion on the opposing side forms an opening to the ticket sleeve. The assembly has two core lines defining three adjacent panels facilitating folding of the assembly into one-third portions. Itinerary information can be printed directly onto the folder. Alternatively, additiional plies can be connected to the folder and itinerary information can be printed directly onto the top additional ply and reproduced onto succeeding plies. Control strips can be provided for use in advancing the assembly through a printer.

A bookkeeping and check writing system enables simultaneous entry of payee and numerical disbursement amount upon the check and an underlying disbursement sheet and, when desired, a duplicate sheet such as a separable voucher sheet. The disbursement sheet has payee and numerical disbursement columns spaced cooperatively to the blanks appearing on standard commercial checks and a transfer sheet is secured in overlying position. A shield member is positioned upon the transfer sheet and supports a check thereon so that the payee and disbursement blanks are aligned with the columns of the disbursement sheet. The shield member has an aperture therein coinciding with the appropriate blanks so that, when the data is entered upon the check by a pen or the like, the pressure is transferred to the transfer sheet and any underlying sheets through the aperture in the shield member, whereas the body of the shield member absorbs the pressure of the writing implement as the remaining blanks of the check are completed.

Disclosed is an accounts receivable system of the pegboard or accounting board type, and specifically, one which uses a ledger which has a hectograph-carbon stencil for the transfer of the name and address of the customer to a statement and a statement for receiving the address as the image is transferred from the ledger to the surface of the statement, utilizing a film of hectograph fluid.

The checkbook comprises a flexible, foldable cover having a series of spaced pins along one edge to which a journal sheet is releasably attachable by inserting spaced openings in the edge of the sheet over the pins. Data is recordable in a plurality of horizontal rows of data boxes or spaces, which are printed on the face of the journal sheet, by placing a check over the sheet so that a row of data boxes on the check register vertically with a selected row of data boxes on the face of the journal sheet. Each check also has openings along one edge insertable over the pins on the cover releasably to hold the check in a desired position on the journal sheet. A strip of carbon backing on the back of each check registers with the data boxes on the face of the check and overlies the corresponding boxes on the journal sheet so that data entered on the check face is entered simultaneously on the journal. Two alternative means for securing the journal sheets and checks on the cover are also disclosed.

The appearance of a color print viewed under UV illumination is predicted using a target comprising color patches each printed using a known coverage of printer colorant(s). In one case, the target is illuminated using a UV light source and an electronic image of the target is captured using a digital camera or the like. In another case, a spectrophotometer is used both with and without a UV cutoff filter to measure the target. The captured image data or the spectrophotometric measurements are used to derive a UV printer characterization model that relates any arbitrary combination of printer colorants to a predicted UV color appearance value. Metameric colorant mixture pairs for visible light and UV light viewing can be determined using the UV model together with a conventional visible light printer characterization model. A visual matching task is used to determine a correction factor for the UV printer characterization model.
