    摘要： A binding device is disclosed, which comprises an elongated fixture having at least one pipe fitting in the vicinity of one longitudinal side end thereof and a cover plate having in the vicinity of its longitudinal one end at least one coupling rod adapted to be inserted into said pipe fitting, wherein the fixture is provided with support members along its longitudinal opposite side end at a predetermined distance, each of said support members being provided with a vertically extended slit and an external recess in communication with the slit and the fixture is further provided with elastic arm members at its opposite cross ends, each of said elastic arm members at its one end being secured to the fixture and at its opposite free end being confronted with the recess of the support member, while the cover plate is provided in the vicinity of its longitudinal opposite end with insertion members each comprising a vertical guide piece member and a flexible piece member with an outward protrusion and arranged symmetrically to cope with the support members of the fixture.

    摘要： In a binding assembly for binders for holding a number of sheets of paper detachably bound together, the clamping unit, which includes a pair of metallic clamping plates for holding the paper therebetween, is detachably latched to a holder base which is in turn permanently attached to the binding of a binder. The clamping unit is provided with a bar extending across a cutout provided in a lower edge of each clamping plate, and the bar latches onto a latching mechanism provided in the holder base. Either one of the clamping plates may be selectively latched onto or unlatched away from the holder base while the other clamping plate is kept hinged to the holder base. The latching mechanism includes a pair of latch members made of plastic material, and slidably retained by a metallic base plate of the holder base, and the load applied to the clamping unit is primarily supported by the metallic base plate for minimizing the load applied to the latch members. The load which tends to pull the clamping unit away from the holder base is supported by holding pieces which are lifted from the base plate, and bent over the latch members. The binding assembly is thus made highly simple in structure, and economical and easy to manufacture. By making the essential parts of the latching mechanism with plastic material, it is possible to ensure the accurate and reliable action of the latching mechanism.

The modular binder comprises a pair of cover modules each including a cover leaf hinged to a spine segment, wherein the spine segments are identical and are adapted to interfit in face-to-face relation to retain the sheaf of papers. A spine lock clip is provided to interconnect the spine segments with a variable spacing according to the thickness of the paper sheaf. Auxiliary communication and/or entertainment modules such as an audio cassette player, one or more audio cassettes, etc., can be mounted onto one or both cover leaves of the two cover modules.

    摘要： An item input device for a data processing system wherein plurality of flexible page sheets with input information provided thereon overlap the circumference of a rotating shaft in the device main unit and the fixed ends of the sheets are separated by a constant space. The desired page sheets are selected through rotation of the rotating shaft in the winding direction and the reverse direction of the page sheets, thereby guiding the page sheets to the display location. The page sheets overlap each other such that the page sheet unit has the page sheet ends bound thereto separated by a constant space thus the page sheet unit is formed separately from the rotating shaft. The page sheet unit is taken up to the rotating shaft in the page selection ready condition by rotation in the winding direction, and the page sheet unit taken up is released from the rotating shaft by rotation in the reverse direction. Moreover, a clamping member for holding the winding condition of the page sheets is provided. The winding of page sheets is carried out when the rotating shaft rotates in the winding (take-up) direction and the clamping member comes into contact with the page sheets. Page selection of the page sheets is carried out when the clamping member causes the rotating shaft to rotate in the reverse direction via the page sheets.
