摘要: The disclosure provides for a system that includes a seat mounted in a vehicle. The seat includes a base, a back support, a hinge, and a seat belt integrated into the seat. The back support is capable of rotating relative to the base and thereby reclining. The hinge is between the base and the back support and is configured to lock the back support in positions in relation to the base. The seat belt has a shoulder portion and a lap portion and is attached to the seat at a shoulder anchor in the back support and a base anchor in the base. When a generated torque, created from a forward force applied by the shoulder portion of the seat belt, exceeds a threshold amount of torque, the hinge is configured to unlock and back support is configured to rotate forward from a reclined position towards an upright position.

摘要: A seatback recliner system for a vehicle seat including a seat bottom and a seatback is provided. The system includes a latch mechanism movable between a latched state where the latch mechanism holds the seatback in a fixed angular position relative to the seat bottom and an unlatched state where the seatback is angularly movable relative to the seat bottom. A handle is movable between a rest position where the latch mechanism is disposed in the latched state and an actuated position where the latch mechanism is disposed in the unlatched state, in response to the handle receiving an actuation load from a user. A handle extension member is releasably mounted to the handle by a coupler that disengages the handle extension member from the handle such that the handle remains disposed in the rest position relative to the latch mechanism.

摘要: An apparatus for dynamically stiffening a vehicle seat back may include a vehicle seat including a seat bottom mountable within a vehicle, a seat back extending upwardly away from the seat bottom, and a bight defined at a forward-facing interface between the seat bottom and the seat back, an occupant restraint harness coupled to the vehicle seat and engaging a top end of the seat back, and a seat back stiffening apparatus having a seat back stiffening member and an actuator coupled to the occupant restraint harness adjacent to or near the bight of the vehicle seat. The actuator may be responsive to a first force applied thereto by the occupant restraint harness in excess of a first threshold force to deploy the seat back stiffening member to couple to and between the seat bottom and the seat back to add stiffness to the seat back frame.

In order to achieve the foregoing, provided is a vehicle seat having a walk-in mechanism, wherein: a reclining unit having the walk-in mechanism comprises a swing plate and latch for locking a seat back at a seated posture position; the latch has a structure that rotates about a latch rotating shaft, locks rotation of the seat back by meshed engagement with the swing plate, and releases the lock when the meshed engagement with the swing plate comes out; and the latch is given a structure with which a counter plate is added to the opposite side from the position of meshed engagement with the swing plate, relative to the latch rotating shaft, and the center-of-gravity position of the latch is brought close to the center of rotation of the latch.

摘要: A seat assembly for use with a vehicle includes a seat back that is mountable in the vehicle such that the seat is pivotable between a use position and a folded position. Furthermore, the seat back includes an engaging member. The seat assembly also includes a hinge assembly associated with the seat back. The hinge assembly includes a bracket that is attachable to the vehicle, a pivot member pivotally attached to the bracket, and a blocking member pivotally attached to the bracket. When a sufficient forward force is applied to the seat back, the pivot member pivots in a first direction about a first axis, which causes the blocking member to pivot in a second direction different than the first direction about a second axis and engage the engaging member, thereby blocking pivotal movement of the seat back. In this embodiment, the second axis is located forward of the first axis.
