Abstract:
A material collection system is provided. The system can include a vehicle, a conduit, a vacuum generator mounted to the vehicle to develop an airflow and to draw material into the conduit, and a moveable boom mounted to the vehicle to support the conduit. The system can include a control system to control a speed of the vacuum generator.
Abstract:
A trailer includes a metal frame, a first dump bed coupled to the frame substantially near a forward end of the frame, and a second dump bed coupled to the frame substantially near a rearward end of the frame. In an embodiment, the first dump bed is a side-dumping dump bed and the second dump bed is a rear-dumping dump bed.
Abstract:
An unloading apparatus is coupled to a dump truck loaded with dry bulk material to quickly unload the truck for return to service. The unloading apparatus is coupled to the outlet of the truck carrying its dry material load, and coupled to a receiver which receives the dry material discharged from the auger as the truck load bed is raised. Compressed air is delivered to the load bed along the sides and outlet to force the dry material dust to the outlet and out of the truck. A vibrator is coupled to the bed of the truck to aid in the discharge of the dry material load.
Abstract:
A container for particulate materials that is adapted to be mounted on a trailer for transport on a roadway includes a plurality of hoppers, a shell that is disposed over the plurality of hoppers, and an internal U-shaped divider plate between each pair of adjacent hoppers.
Abstract:
A method of controlling an articulated machine having a first frame and a second frame and travelling on a ground surface is provided. The method includes receiving a speed signal indicative of a speed of the articulated machine through a speed sensor by a controller. The method includes receiving an inclination signal indicative of an inclination of the ground surface through an inclination sensor by the controller. The method further includes receiving a payload signal indicative of a payload carried by the articulated machine through a payload sensor by the controller. The controller controls a hoisting of the second frame with respect to the first frame based on at least one of the speed signal, the inclination signal and the payload signal.
Abstract:
A boom, most commonly used in conjunction with a cement truck to deliver cement a great distance from the cement truck to the work site, is adapted to be used with a truck mounted vacuum extraction system. In this instance, the boom is used in a completely backwards fashion. Instead of being connected to a pump, which pumps material to a work site, the boom is connected to the vacuum extraction vacuum blower in order to bring debris at the excavation site to the debris tank of the vacuum extraction system. The boom is able to reach up, over, under, or around barriers that stand in the way. In addition, the boom can also reach through or go under existing structures to reach the excavation site.
Abstract:
A sampling device has a valve body that comprises an inlet for connecting to an unloading pipe of a container containing dry bulk product, the inlet being shaped to receive a flow of dry bulk product from the container. The valve body has a first outlet which, when opened, discharges the dry bulk product that enters the valve body through the inlet. The valve body also has a second outlet which, when opened, discharges a sample of the dry bulk product, the second outlet having a cross-sectional area that is smaller than a cross-sectional area of the first outlet. The sampling device enables a sample of dry bulk product, e.g. cement, slag, fly ash, cement kiln dust, silica fume, silica sand, lime, alumina, flour, or any other similar dry powdery substance to be obtained safely from a transport container or vessel.
Abstract:
A pneumatic distributor of granular and/or powdery materials includes a main distribution duct having a first end in the region of which an air-flow is injected into the duct under pressure, and a second end. The main duct includes respective adjacent converging-diverging portions, with reference to the direction of the air-flow, defining a Venturi duct. A dosing device is provided for delivering a metered quantity of material into the main duct in the region of the narrow cross-section of the Venturi duct, for the mixing of the material into the air-flow and the entrainment of the mixture obtained towards the second end. The distributor includes at least one auxiliary duct, bypassing the Venturi duct, in order to connect a section of the main duct disposed upstream of the Venturi duct to a section of the main duct disposed downstream of the Venturi duct.
Abstract:
A rear eject body for a truck is provided. The body includes a floor and a pair of opposing sidewalls. A tailgate extends between the opposing sidewalls at a rear end of the rear eject body. The tailgate is pivotally supported for movement between an open position and a closed position. An ejector is supported in the rear eject body for movement between a retracted position at a forward end of the body and an extended position at the rear end of the body. A tailgate actuation assembly moves the tailgate between the open and closed positions in response to movement of the ejector between the retracted and extended positions. An ejector guide assembly includes sleds that slide in guide tracks to thereby guide the ejector as the ejector moves between the retracted and extended positions.
Abstract:
A method and system are disclosed for moving and placing in hard to reach locations granular and other particulate material such as sand, gravel, earth and similar materials. The system includes an improved auger for moving the material and an improved rotary airlock mechanism designed to withstand the abrasive action of the particulate material and at the same time move the material several hundred feet through a flexible conduit for placement in a pre-designated location. A system and apparatus is also disclosed for transporting on one vehicle all of the devices needed at a remote site for operation the particulate placement system, including a front loader.
