Abstract: Methods and systems for tuning vehicle drivability are provided. The vehicle system includes, in one example, a vehicle control unit (VCU) that is designed to electronically communicate with a human machine interface (HMI). In the system, the VCU is designed to, in reaction to receiving an acceleration or deceleration request from the HMI, send a virtual acceleration or deceleration command to a transmission control unit (TCU), where the virtual acceleration or deceleration command correlates to the acceleration or deceleration request and the correlation is user adjustable via a user interface (UI) of the VCU.

Abstract: A control apparatus is configured to control a vehicle. The vehicle includes an engine, a generator, and a drive motor. The generator is configured to generate electric power by using motive power to be outputted from the engine. The drive motor is coupled to a drive wheel. The engine, the generator, and the drive motor are coupled to each other via a planetary gear mechanism. The control apparatus includes a processor configured to control an operating point of the engine by controlling respective operations of the generator and the drive motor. The processor is configured to change a fuel consumption characteristic of the engine on the basis of traveling characteristic data, and to control the operating point of the engine on the basis of the fuel consumption characteristic. The traveling characteristic data indicates a traveling characteristic in the past of the vehicle driven by a driver of the vehicle.

Abstract: A shift control method of a vehicle with a dual clutch transmission (DCT) may include: a first preparing step of, by a controller, controlling a torque of an N-th stage clutch to a predetermined minimum torque and increasing a torque of an N−1-th stage clutch to a predetermined standby torque; a first handover step of releasing the torque of the N-th stage clutch and increasing the torque of the N−1-th stage clutch; a gear changing step of releasing an N-th stage gear and then initiating an engagement of an N−2-th stage gear; a synchronization maintaining step of maintaining a synchronized state by adjusting the torque of the N−1-th stage clutch; a second preparing step of increasing the torque of the N−2-th stage clutch to the standby torque; and a second handover step of releasing the torque of the N−1-th clutch and increasing the torque of the N−2-th stage clutch.

Abstract: A shift control method for a vehicle with a double clutch transmission (DCT) is configured such that when a power-on upshift is initiated, during a target time for a controller to perform a torque phase, a release-side clutch is gradually released, an engine torque is gradually increased to a basic engine torque or more, and an engagement-side clutch torque is increased according to an increase in the engine torque and a vehicle speed; and when the release-side clutch is completely released, the controller reduces the engine torque while gradually reducing the engagement-side clutch torque to be equal to the basic engine torque, to perform an inertia phase such that an engine speed is synchronized with an engagement-side clutch speed.

Abstract: Provided is a control device for a vehicle. A control device for a vehicle includes a vehicle that includes an engine and a main motor, and a transmission equipped with first and second input shafts which are respectively connected to the engine via first and second clutches, an output shaft through which power is output to drive wheels, first and second transmission mechanisms which respectively includes a plurality of transmission gears selectively joined to the first and second input shaft respectively, and an ECU. When the main motor is driven and when the engine is stopped, the ECU determines that the vehicle travels using power of the engine using the transmission gears of one of transmission mechanisms in a case where defective engagement release occurs such that a transmission gear of the other transmission mechanism is not disengaged.
