Abstract:
The application provides unique assembly, shipping, display, nesting and compact stowing methods for compact or convertible nullsub-assembliesnull for wheelbarrow and cart devices. The wheelbarrow or carrier device nullsub-assemblynull comprising all or some of the interconnected component parts of the device (except for the tub or base) may be selectively movable and stowable to the inside or underside of the cargo carrier, with the user only being required to move and rapidly secure the sub-assembly frame to the device. The wheelbarrow or cart nullsub-assemblynull disclosed may be entirely or substantially stowed within the side elevational profile and interior of the carrier device carrier space during shipping, transport or sales display, and/or selectively attached to the underside of the base or tub for shipping or display prior to actual use, by a series of any suitable quick release methods commonly known in the art. Other novel component parts of the said sub-assembly units for wheelbarrow or cart devices are also disclosed, including convertible methods allowing the carrier device to be either hitch mounted or trailer connected to a separate wheeled device, allowing the carrier to be mounted in either a setup or a stowed condition.
Abstract:
A tool caddy for use with a hand truck having a pair of uprights and carrying a trashcan. The tool caddy includes a pair of articulated arms for engaging and supporting the sides of the trashcan. Each arm has a fixed inner portion with a clasp for releasable securement to an upright of the hand truck. A movable outer portion is positioned adjacent the fixed inner portion and has a free end remote from said the inner portion. A hinge joins the fixed inner portion to the movable outer portion. A flexible tether releasably connects the free end of each movable outer portion together. A tool retainer is secured to each of the articulated arms.
Abstract:
A mission adaptable multi-purpose, collapsible portable cart/utility table, for use in emergency response and disaster situations, camping, hunting and other outdoors activities, which carries medical rescue carts, canoes, small boats, game, or hauled cargo by hand. The portable cart/utility table can be converted to a various uses and the portable cart/utility table can be folded down and transported within a wheeled bin, backpack, hand carried bag, canoe or boat. It transports injured persons or cargo over long, rough terrain and it can broken down into a carrying position, by hand or by back. The cart has optional removable clamps for clamping a conventional transportable carrier, such as a stretcher or stokes-type rescue carrier bed, thereto. The objects being carried can be held by clamps, by fasteners, or through the use of insertions with longitudinally extending channels. An optional pivotable kickstand and/or tie rods can stabilize the cart in a position of rest. It is collapsible, so that it can be disassembled and carried, and then reassembled at another destination along a wilderness journey.
Abstract:
An adjustable frame, mountable on a vehicle, for releasably securing hand trucks of different sizes and configurations includes: a support platform for receiving a base of a hand truck; a first and a second side member affixed to the platform; a first bracket and a second bracket attached to the first and second side members, respectively, the brackets extending in parallel therewith; an elongate swing bar pivotally connected to the first bracket and pivotal between a first position that retains the hand truck on the platform, and a second position, which allows access and removal of the hand truck from the platform; and a latch mounted on the swing bar. The second bracket may include a strike that engages the latch for releasably securing the swing bar in the first position. Cushioned crossbars attachable to the side members dampen vibration of the hand truck during transportation.
Abstract:
A coin bag storage apparatus including a bag storage cassette tower having a compartment sized to store a plurality of bags, one on top of the next, and a spring-mounted platen located within the storage compartment for receiving each of the bags and progressively lowering a first bag into the compartment as a second bag is placed upon the first bag. In response to addition or removal of a bag, the spring-mounted platen is designed to automatically raise or lower the platen by the thickness of a bag. The cassette tower is further adapted to cooperate in an integrated handling and storage system comprising a dolly, a transport cart, and a storage cabinet cooperating to facilitate easy transportation and secure storage of the loaded cassette towers.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed toward a container coupling system that releaseably couples a modular container to at least one carried container. Coupling is achieved by a coupling assembly which includes a first coupling portion and a bearing region are located on a loading side of a lifting container; and a second coupling portion and a contact region are located on a carried container. A coupling assembly couples a lifting container with a carried container by releaseably engaging a first coupling portion with a corresponding second coupling portion. Additional embodiments of a modular container include a removable frame and lift plate assembly.
Abstract:
A child's pushchair has a folding frame comprising two front legs, each carrying at least one wheel. The frame is designed in such a way that, when it is being folded, the front legs approach each other. At least one of the front legs is integral with means for bearing on the ground, set in such a way that they are able to come into contact with the ground during folding, and not to touch the ground when the child's pushchair is unfolded and standing on its wheels. These bearing means can, in particular, be castors.
Abstract:
An improved combination stroller, car seat and carrier for infants comprising a pair of wheels and a handle mounted on a pair of collapsible tubular members mounted through a pair of spaced-apart openings in the outward extending lip rimming the uppermost portion of the back of the seat and anchored to a single axle secured to the rear underside portion of the seat. When the pair of collapsible tubular members are collapsed for use as a car seat for infants inside the motor vehicle, the handle and pair of collapsible tubular members are disposed in a stowed position against the seat back portion of the car seat. The bottom portion of the combination is adapted for disposition in lockable securement either directly to the seat belt safety system of an motor vehicle, such as a car or automobile, or the like, or via an interlocking tray mounted on a seating surface inside the motor vehicle and secured to the body or frame of the motor vehicle.
Abstract:
A computer trolley is disclosed for rollingly supporting computer cases, or other structures. The trolley includes a number of pivotable arms which are each pivotable about their own pivot axis. In-line wheels may be rotatably attached to the ends of each arm. The in-line wheels may use precision ball bearings commonly found in in-line skates. Each end of the arms may include a rotatable corner body that is rotatable to accommodate computer cases of varying widths. A removable pedestal may be included that can be attached underneath the center of the trolley to provide additional load support.
