摘要: A system is demonstrated for heave neutralisation of semisubmersible platforms that can be built into any conceivable configuration of such platforms. That the system is also conceivably active and predicatively can be controlled can be concluded by analysing the appended calculation models. As an example FIG. 18, column E, is mentioned, wherein the water volume increments in the rise canister are 37 cubic metres for each half metre of wave height, so that, with reference to column A, from H=10.5 m to H=12 m is 4×37 148 cubic metres more than 150 tonnes—simultaneously with the air pressure, shown in column K, increasing from 123.86 to 131.05 kPa, a difference of just 6.19 kPa (0.0619 bar or 61.9 millibars). Large ballast volumes can be moved out and in of the system at small pressure changes and short response time.

摘要: A hydrofoil system provides lift to a motor-powered displacement hull without raising the hull out of the water. The hydrofoil system includes a pair of laterally opposed forward hydrofoil wings positioned respectively on the first pontoon and second pontoon forward a center of gravity of the hull. The forward hydrofoil wings extend laterally inboard and downwards towards each other. The hydrofoil system also includes a pair of laterally opposed aft hydrofoil wings positioned near the stern of the hull on the first pontoon and second pontoon respectively. The aft hydrofoil wings extend laterally inboard towards each other and have an upper surface with convex curvature that extends from the respective first pontoon or second pontoon to an inboard terminal end thereof.

摘要: The novel bladder systems and tie down systems set forth herein provide systems and apparatuses that mitigate or prevent damage, such as tipping over/capsizing, of a watercraft stored on shore or an aircraft secured to a ground surface during adverse wind, rising water, or storm events. Further, novel apparatuses and methods for storing a watercraft using the bladders as cushioning or holding devices when installed within a cavity, whether the cavity is created by digging a hole or building an enclosing berm, provides additional stability and security for the watercraft during adverse wind, rising water, or storm events.

摘要: A catamaran having two parallel symmetrical hulls of equal size spaced apart with a superstructure lower deck extending from an outer edge of the first hull to an outer edge of the second hull. The lower deck is positioned above the static waterline and provides a single, constant, flush elevation height across the entire length and breadth of the vessel, with the placement of control and propulsion machinery in the hulls. The improved catamaran has an increased freeboard, increased gross tonnage, and decreased design pressures on the superstructure scantlings of the catamaran deck as compared to a conventional catamaran having a lower deck mounted beneath the static waterline, or accommodations added to the hulls.

摘要: This disclosed embodiments of this invention relate to a semi-submersible vessel. The semi-submersible vessel includes a deck, at least four columns supporting the deck, a first pontoon, a second pontoon, a first brace and a second brace. Each column comprises an outer skin, an inner skin, and a number of reinforcing plates spaced apart from each other and connecting the inner skin to the outer skin, forming a double skin arrangement. The first pontoon is connectable to a first pair of columns and the second pontoon is connectable to a second pair of columns. The first brace is connectable to the first of each of the two pairs of columns and the second brace connects the second of each of the two pairs of columns.

摘要: The present disclosure is directed generally toward sailing vessels. One example is a catamaran with one or more pivoting masts per hull member, which may pivot from a generally perpendicular upright position, to a generally flat stowed position toward the bow of the hulls. The masts are capable of sustaining a plurality of sails, which may travel 180 degrees with respect to the hulls.
