Abstract:
A recording medium holder for accommodating a recording medium which records information is disclosed. The recording medium holder has an accommodating member which forms a first accommodating region being capable of accommodating at least one sheet of the recording medium to be held and a second accommodating region being capable of accommodating at least one recording device for recording relevant data generated in relation to the processing of information by an information processing apparatus. The accommodating member includes a recording medium holding portion for positioning and holding the recording medium to be held in the first accommodating region and a recording device holding portion for positioning and holding the recording device to be held in the second accommodating region.
Abstract:
A magnetic tape cassette storage case (1) comprising a storage section (3) for storing a magnetic tape cassette (81), a lid section (5) for covering the storage section (3), and a connecting section (7) for connecting the storage section (3) and the lid section (5) so as to enable the open-and-closed motion; in which the storage section (3) and the lid section (5) comprise plate portion (11, 21) and sidewall portions (13, 23) provided along the outer peripheries of the flat portions (11, 21) respectively. A notch (26b) having at least the height of the sidewall portion (13) provided on the storage section (3) is formed on the inner side of the end of the sidewall portion (23) closer to the connecting section (7) of the lid section (5).
Abstract:
A cassette 5 with longitudinal and transverse dimensions similar to each other is housed in a cassette storing case which can prevent housing of a cassette into the housing case in an incorrect direction and identify a dedicated cassette storing case corresponding to a cassette, while assuring the function of preventing positional shift during stacking. The cassette storing case 1 includes an indicating portion 15 provided on the top surface 1a of the housing case. The indicating portion 15 has a protrusion-and-recess pattern, similar to a design on the cassette, which indicates a housing direction. The cassette storing case 1 further includes a stopper portion 17, provided on the bottom surface 1b of the housing case, for engaging with part 16 of the indicating portion 15 to regulate positional shift when housing cases are stacked with each other.
Abstract:
This invention provides an apparatus or container for a compact disc having a central holding portion to retain the disc through a central aperture. The central holding portion has a plurality of inwardly directed radial arms that are depressible towards their inner ends. Each arm includes a raised mid section which includes a rib, lip or similar to engage over the disc. Also, a bearing means bears on the underside of the disc around the central aperture on the non-data carrying portion of the disc adjacent that aperture. The disc is firmly supported between these two points of contact.
Abstract:
A tape cassette storing case comprises: a storing case main body, the storing case main body having first and second side surfaces that are opposite to each other; a recess region on the first side surface, the recess region being defined by a step from the first side surface; and a plurality of ribs on the second side surface, wherein when two of the storing case main bodies including first and second main bodies are stacked so that the first side surface in the first main body are superposed on the second side surface in the second main body, the a plurality of ribs in the second main body is regulated by the step of the recess region on the first main body, and the plurality of ribs in the second main body each has an inclined surface with respect to the second side surface in the second main body.
Abstract:
A cassette holder for a large and a small cassette to be selectively loaded. An upper surface of a frame is a part of a bottom surface of a cassette opening having a size fitting the large cassette, through which the large or the small cassette is to be loaded. A pair of positioning-restriction elements is provided inside the cassette holder when viewed from the opening provided on the front panel. The distance between the restriction elements has a width enough for the small cassette to be loaded therebetween to a predetermined position in the cassette holder. A cassette detector detects the large cassette when this cassette is loaded through the cassette opening. At least a part of the cassette detector is positioned so that it is closer to a front-end section of the cassette opening than the positioning-restriction elements are when viewed from the cassette opening. A drive mechanism moves the restriction elements from positions at which the restriction elements allow the small cassette to be loaded therebetween to other positions at which the restriction elements do not obstruct the large cassette to be loaded, when the cassette detector detects the large cassette. A pair of flaps is positioned so that each flap is closer to the front-end section of the cassette opening than the positioning-restriction elements are when viewed from the cassette opening. The distance between the flaps has a width enough for the small cassette to be loaded therebetween to the predetermined position in the cassette holder. The flaps are opened to allow the large cassette to be loaded when the flaps are pushed by the large cassette whereas they are engaged with the restriction elements to obstruct the small cassette to be loaded when at least either of the flaps is pushed by the small cassette.

Abstract:
In a magnetic tape cassette case including an accommodating portion, a lid portion and a connecting portion for connecting the accommodating portion and the lid portion. The case has movement preventing member capable of accommodating magnetic tape cassettes having different sizes for preventing a small one of the magnetic tape cassette from moving in the case, is provided at least at any one of the accommodating portion, the lid portion and the connecting portion. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a magnetic tape cassette case capable of accommodating magnetic tape cassettes having different sizes without play.
Abstract:
A lockable media storage box and lock and key combination includes a box having a base and a lid hingedly connected to the base and movable between opened and closed positions. A lock is attached to the box that prevents the box from being opened until the lock is removed with a key or until the lock is destroyed.
Abstract:
The invention provides various configurations, apparatus, methods and systems for anti-theft protection of information storage media generally comprising locking the media between opposing pieces that must be decoupled before the media may be used. In one embodiment, media packaging is equipped with a locking device. The locking device includes a head that is connected to a base by a stem. The head includes an engagement surface beneath which a locking hub mechanism is locked. The mechanism includes spring loaded locking members that are biased towards a locking hub center. The locking device is unlocked by a release device which forces the locking members away from the locking hub center, thereby disengaging the locking hub from the post.
