The intermediate base score lines form two deformable hinges, so that the receiving portion can be moved relative to the ends of the base panel along a vertical axis after formation of the packaging and the pack.

The end panels are formed of overlapping end panel sections, the outer section of which is foldably connected to an upper portion of a central handle panel and the inner section of which is foldably connected to a lower portion of the handle panel. This results in an end panel formation which does not tend to collapse after a collapsed carrier is erected and also makes the carrier more rigid by tying in the full extent of the handle panel to the end panels.

    摘要： A carrier device for carrying a plurality of containers, such as bottles, cans and the like, includes novel zip strips which can be selectively separated from the carrier device so that the containers held by the carrier device can be easily removed from the carrier device. The carrier device includes container engaging portions, each of which includes bands which define apertures therein for engaging the side walls of the containers to hold the containers therein to form a package. Each container engaging portion has a continuous outer margin portion. Each zip strip is positioned on the respective outer margin portion. The zip strip is separated from the remainder of the carrier device by a series of perforation lines, elongated slits and openings, along which the zip strip can be torn.

    摘要： A basket-style carrier which exposes much of the end packaged articles. The carrier has narrow side panels which, with partition straps, form article receiving cells. End cells are formed by the partition straps, side straps extending out from the side panels and end straps connected to the side straps. The partition straps and the end straps are connected to a central support panel, which includes a handle panel portion. The end straps and side straps contact only small portions of the articles, allowing the remainder of the end articles to be viewed.

The top panel comprises flaps foldably connected to the side panels which contain openings through which a top portion of articles packaged in the carrier extend. The flaps also include at least one fold line extending parallel to the side panels, allowing the flaps to be folded over so that their free ends extend to and contact the center partition of the carrier. This biases the top panel flap edges against the center partition and an edge of the opening against the underside of flanges or other transversely extending projections of the articles packaged in the carrier. The handle in a center partition may be designed as a three-ply reinforced handle.
