摘要： A packaging arrangement provides a top packaging panel and a bottom packaging panel which receives a tub portion and a first and a second wall portion of a tub and surround. The packaging arrangement provides a compact transportable unit which readily fits within a rather compact package. The packaging panels are preferably manufacture of Styrofoam or the like to absorb shock and protect the tub portion and wall portions. A tub slot is substantially U-shaped to receive a tub end. That is, tub slot receives the tub portion in a substantially vertical orientation in which the tub portion stands on end and is restrained between the panels. The first wall portion slot and the second wall portion slot are substantially L-shaped and are nested to form a larger U-shape within which the tub slot is arranged. That is, the tub slot forms an inverted U relative the orientation of the larger U-shape formed by the first and second wall portion slot. When the tub portion is nested within the wall portions between the panels a rigid yet compact packaging arrangement is provided.

摘要： A package for protection and display of an object such as a clock which includes a base having narrow pedestals extending upwardly along the lateral edges, pedestals having respective overhanging portions extending horizontally inward. The spacing between the pedestals is substantially the same as the lateral dimension of the object and the inside height of the overhanging portions is substantially the same as the height of the object. Embossments are provided on the base presenting a pair of retaining edges spaced inwardly with respect to the front and back edges of the base, the spacing between the embossments being substantially the same as the depth dimension of the object, the base pedestals and embossments being formed of resilient foamed plastic so that the object is held captive and cradled against movement in any direction with respect to the base. The base is enclosed by an inverted cup-shaped shell of transparent plastic having a lower edge snugly conforming to the profile of the base. In the preferred form of the invention the base has a vertical parting plane for separation of the base into two halves facilitating insertion of the object into seated position, addition of the shell causing the two halves to be securely clamped together. Means are provided for securing the shell to the base to discourage disassembly of the shell from the base and tending to insure that the object is viewed only through the shell and remains untouched and in new condition until the time of sale.

摘要： Packing brace for automatic washing machines, bracing the agitator, spin basket and casing of the machine from movement relative to each other during moving of the machine from place to place. The brace is made from a single block of resilient plastic material. Parallel slits separate the block into a plurality of bracing arms. The slits are enlarged adjacent their inner ends to provide integral hinges between the arms and accommodate opening thereof to extend about the center post of the agitator. The block is of sufficient height and the arms are of sufficient length to fit between the inner rim of the casing, spin basket and center post of the agitator. The outer end portions of the arms taper inwardly toward their lower ends, and the inner end portions of the arms are recessed along generally uniform arcs to fit around the center post of the agitator when the arms are opened relative to each other.

摘要： The present invention relates to new and improved, reusable mailer packages specially adapted for the safe transportation to a laboratory of a specimen, e.g., human blood, contained in a plurality of fragile test tubes and a fragile microscope slide, through the mails, regardless of the severity of rough handling to which the specimen mailer may be subjected. The complete mailer assembly comprises nested, elongated cylindrical plastic cups both of which are closed by end caps. The nested cups are disposed and maintained in a predetermined spaced relationship to one another by a cushioning disc spacer fabricated of a suitable resilient material such as expanded plastic foam. Disposed within the inner cylindrical plastic cup is a plastic divider structure which divides the inner cup into four test tube compartments and one microscope slide compartment.

摘要： A corner post/edge protector structure comprises an apex portion, a pair of leg members disposed substantially perpendicular with respect to each other, and concave/convex transitional regions integrally interconnecting the leg members to opposite ends of the apex portion. The concave/convex transitional regions define axially extending strengthening ribs for enhancing the axial or columnar compressive strength characteristics of the structure when the same is used in conjunction with stacks or tiers of packages, containers, or palletized loads. In addition, the transitional regions permit outer and inner surface portions of the leg members to be coplanar with outer and inner surface portions of the apex portion so as to facilitate or enable compact storage of the containers, packages, or palletized loads within cargo holds and storage facilities. Still further, the transitional regions enable the leg members to undergo resilient flexural movements under impressed packaging strapping loads or forces and facilitate favorable distribution of the strapping loads or forces.
