A one-component heat curable epoxide composition which have an excellent storage stability and can be cured in a short period of time at a relatively low temperature, and in particular, have a property of generating outgas in a smaller amount, and providing cured product with an excellent heat resistance, is provided. The composition comprises 100 parts by weight of (A) an epoxide having more than one epoxy group on average in the molecule, and 1 to 40 parts by weight of (B) a curing compound which is prepared by reacting with heating (a) aminoalkylimidazole of the general formula: (b) an amine having two nitrogen atoms with one or two active hydrogen atoms and having at least one cyclic structure group in the molecule therein, (c) urea, and (d) a diepoxide having two epoxy groups on average in the molecule.

A thin-film magnetic recording medium is produced by forming a laminate for magnetic data recording on a nonmagnetic substrate through a dry process, forming a protection layer on the laminate also through a dry process, plasma-etching the protection layer, and forming a lubricant layer on the plasma-etched protection layer. All steps are completed continuously in a vacuum without abrasion. The surface of the resulting recording medium is substantially smoother than the prior art.

A sloping transportation apparatus in which a step for carrying a large-sized object periodically appears without requiring any successive operation and which yet constitutes no hindrance to ordinary passengers' standing, ascent or descent. An enlarged step, of which the tread face has a run large enough to place a large-sized object such as a wheelchair thereon, is preceded and followed by at least one reduced step having a tread face with a reduced run (where ordinary steps have a run of 400 mm, 500 mm or 600 mm, the enlarged step is preceded and followed by three, two or one reduced step, respectively), to absorb the excess of the run of the enlarged step so that the steps may be equally joined in a horizontal straight traveling section. Also, a step structure for coupling each tread face to supporting rollers is provided. An auxiliary wheel is additionally provided to reinforce the support for the enlarged step, and the shape of a step guide surface is determined such that the steps do not interfere with peripheral parts in a turning section. The structure is applicable to an apparatus of the type in which the steps circulate in two ways with horizontal orientation of the tread faces thereof maintained throughout the entire traveling course. The enlarged tread face may have a recess formed therein as a wheel stopper for receiving the ground-touching portions of wheels.

A chain for use in transmission and transportation with low friction, less wear, and low noises. The chain has central portions directly in engagement with a sprocket tooth face. Each of a number of pins is supported by rolling bearings attached individually to one of inside link plates and outside link plates, and plain bearings attached to the other link plates. With this arrangement, the sprocket tooth face and pin tooth face are brought into rolling contact with one another, and the link plates bend relatively to one another as the pins rotate in rolling contact. Also, the size and weight of the chain are reduced. Since the entire amount of friction and wear are small, power loss and elongation are reduced to thereby preserve a high accuracy of the chain.
