    摘要: The present invention provides a polynucleotide cleavage agent switched on by photo-irradiation and a method of cleaving or decomposing a polynucleotide such as DNA or RNA using this agent switched on in this manner. More specifically, said polynucleotide cleavage agent switched on by photo-irradiation comprises cyclopropane or a 2,2-dihalogeno-cyclopropane ring between nullAnull unit and nullBnull unit, wherein said nullAnull unit is an aromatic group having an electron withdrawing property and is excited by photo-irradiation, and said nullBnull unit is a hydrophilic functional group. Said polynucleotide cleavage agent may further contain nullCnull unit which can recognize DNA sequences, and also a spacer molecule, if desired.

    摘要: Disclosed are novel colorant compounds which contain one or more ethylenically-unsaturated (vinyl), photopolymerizable radicals which may be copolymewrized (or cured) with ethylenically-unsaturated monomers to produce colored compositions such as colored acrylic coatings and polymers, e.g., coatings and polymers produced from acrylate and methacrylate esters, colored polystyrenes, and similar colored polymeric materials derived from other ethylenically-unsaturated monomers. The present invention also pertains to processes for the preparation of certain of the photopolymerizable colorant compounds.
