    摘要: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer disposed on the conductive substrate which serves as an outermost surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. The electrophotographic photoreceptor satisfies YC−YA≧0.1 MPa, YC−YB≧0.1 MPa, and YC≦4.5 MPa, where YA, YB, and YC (MPa) represent the Young's moduli of a surface of the photosensitive layer determined by nanoindentation at an indentation depth of 500 nm at end portions A and B extending from a position 10 mm to a position 70 mm from the respective edges of the photosensitive layer toward the center of the photosensitive layer in an axial direction of the electrophotographic photoreceptor and a central portion C extending from a position 20 mm in front of and to a position 20 mm behind the center of the photosensitive layer in the axial direction of the electrophotographic photoreceptor, respectively.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive base, and a single-layer photosensitive layer disposed directly on the conductive base and containing a charge generation material. A difference between a work function of the conductive base and an electron affinity of the charge generation material is in a range of from about −0.1 to about +0.1 eV. A difference between a current Ia and a current Ib is in a range of from about 5.5×10−8 to about 9.2×10−8 [A/cm2] when a gold electrode is provided on the photosensitive layer, where the current Ia is a current when an electric field is applied by applying a voltage so that the gold electrode becomes positive, and the current Ib is a current when an electric field is applied by applying a voltage so that the conductive base becomes positive.

    摘要: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes a conductive substrate and a single-layer-type photosensitive layer on the conductive substrate. The single-layer-type photosensitive layer contains a binder resin, a charge generating material, an electron transporting material, and two hole transporting materials having different redox potentials. The two hole transporting materials are a hole transporting material A and a hole transporting material B that has a redox potential lower than that of the hole transporting material A. The ratio A/B of a weight of the hole transporting material A to a weight of the hole transporting material B is about 12/1 or more and about 36/1 or less.
