摘要: A fabric for use in arc and flame protection, and a process for producing a fire resistant fabric are provided. The fabric includes at least 70 wt % aramid fiber; less than 40 wt % modacrylic; 8 wt % nylon; and 2 wt % anti-static. The process includes shredding recycled fire resistant garments into fibers; creating yarn from the shredded fibers; weaving the yarn into fabric; and knitting the yarn to produce new garments. The fabric may be used to produce fire-resistant garments worn by workers in many industries such as the oil and gas.

摘要: A method for processing a cotton-containing textile waste includes: separating cotton fibers from a batch of the textile waste; pretreating the cotton fibers by soaking in a hydroxide-ion-containing solution to obtain a mixture including pretreated carbon fibers; removing a liquid portion from the mixture to obtain the pretreated carbon fibers; subjecting the pretreated carbon fibers to enzymatic hydrolysis to form a sugary juice containing glucose; and e) adding the liquid portion as part of the hydroxide-ion-containing solution for pretreating the cotton fibers separated from a next batch of the textile waste.

摘要: The present invention discloses a method and corresponding system of processing waste fabrics to rejuvenated fibrous materials that will maintain their original quality in downstream production without a loss of downstream manufacturing efficiencies. The method involves (a) obtaining fabric data for each bale of incoming waste fabrics and storing the fabric data in a database; (b) obtaining target data relating to target product requirements; (c) processing the fabric data and the target data according to predetermined algorithms to generate a rejuvenation processing recipe which specifies bales information and rejuvenation processes information; (d) selecting corresponding bales of incoming waste fabrics for further rejuvenation processing; and (e) subjecting the selected bales to processes specified by the rejuvenation processing recipe.

摘要: A fabric for use in arc and flame protection, and a process for producing a fire resistant fabric are provided. The fabric is made from at least 70 weight percent (wt %) aramid fiber; less than 40 wt % modacrylic; 8 wt % nylon; and 2 wt % anti-static. The aramid fiber is made from recycled aramid fiber from recycled fire resistant garments, and virgin aramid fiber. The fabric may be used to produce fire-resistant garments worn by workers in many industries such as the oil and gas.

摘要: A method/shirt cutting jig for converting a textile into yarn comprises mounting a tubular body of a textile on the jig's base, securing a first folded edge of the tubular body using a clamping bar and securing the second folded edge of the tubular body using a clamping panel. The clamping panel includes teeth that allow a user of the jig to cut the tubular body into strips of material fully past the second folded edge. A movable cutting fence enables the user to cut the tubular body into multiple strips of material, but where each cut does not extend fully past the tubular body's first folded edge. The tubular body with the cuts is removed from the jig and then manually cut in a diagonal pattern along its first folded edge to produce a single strip of material that is then easily converted into reusable yarn.

摘要: A condenser (1) for separating fibers from a fiber laden air flow is disclosed which includes a cell wheel housing (3) and a cell wheel (4). The cell wheel includes a plurality of radial vanes (6) and a perforated screen (12) extending between adjacent vanes. The perforated screen separates the space between the adjacent vanes into fiber entraining cells (14) and air exit spaces (13). Flexible sealing element (7) are carried at the ends of vanes which seal against an interior of the wheel housing. Air from the fiber laden air flow exits through screens (12) by way of a discharge opening (18). Fibers are discharged at (9) through an opening provided in the bottom of cell wheel housing (3).
