Abstract: A seat molded article and a method of preparing a seat molded article are disclosed. The seat molded article includes: an upper pad formed of polyurethane foam having a thickness in a range of 25 to 50 mm; and an elastic fabric disposed under the upper pad, wherein, in the elastic fabric, a difference in tensile elongation between warp and weft directions is 5.0% or less, and a tensile elongation measured under a load of 20 kgf is in a range of 20 to 40% in the warp and weft directions.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to flame resistant fabrics formed with inherently flame resistant fibers that provide the requisite thermal and arc protection, that have improved comfort, and that, in some embodiments, are less expensive than other fabrics formed with inherently flame resistant fibers. Improved comfort and lower cost can be achieved by predominantly locating the inherently flame resistant fibers on the front face of the fabric to impart the requisite thermal and arc protection and predominantly locating the more comfortable (and less expensive) fibers on the back face of the fabric positioned next to the wearer. In this way, overall protection of the fabric is maintained while improving comfort. Some embodiments of such fabrics may also achieve NFPA 70E PPE Category 2 protection.

Abstract: A textile sleeve for routing and protecting an elongate member has a wrappable wall including a textile layer having an inner surface and an opposite outer surface extending lengthwise between opposite ends and widthwise between opposite edges. The opposite edges are configured to be wrapped about a central longitudinal axis to bound a central cavity extending lengthwise along the central longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The textile layer is formed of yarns interlaced with one another, wherein a least some of the yarns include metal wire(s). A silicone-based layer is disposed about the outer surface of the textile layer to provide enhanced heat-resistance, dielectric protection and impact resistance.

Abstract: Provided is a method of manufacturing fiber with aligned porous structure, an apparatus, and applications of the fiber. The apparatus comprises: a fiber extrusion unit, a freezing unit, and a collection unit for collecting the frozen fibers, wherein fibers extruded from the fiber extrusion unit pass through the freezing unit. Continuous and large scale preparation of such fiber with aligned porous structure is achieved by combining directional freezing and solution spinning.

Abstract: Flame resistant fabrics formed with a combination of body yarns and stretch yarns that exhibit excellent physical and thermal properties. The body yarns are formed at least in part with flame resistant materials. The stretch yarns are corespun yarns having an elastic core surrounded by a fiber sheath formed at least in part with flame resistant materials. The fiber sheath protects the elastic core from direct exposure to heat and flame that would otherwise cause the core to degrade or melt.
