摘要： A stand for sewing machines with an open base design is readily accessible to users in special seating such as wheel chairs, and adaptable to accessory equipment related to the handling of materials. A vertically adjustable pedestal extends upward from one side of the base. On the pedestal, extending out over the base, is a platform which receives and holds a variety of sewing machines. Adjustable attaching mechanisms on the platform connect to the bases of different sewing machines, to support them securely and to present them at various orientations above the open base of the stand. Attaching mechanisms are provided for a variety of table configurations, each adapted to the configuration of the sewing machine mounted in the stand for quick interchange of tables onto the platform. The platform is attached to the top of the pedestal by a rotary joint of substantial proportions which provides for rotation of the entire platform about an axis extending horizontally, side-to-side, over the open base. The entire stand is mounted on feet and/or rollers which permit rotational motion of the entire stand and the machine thereon about vertically extending axes.

摘要： This single chain stitch sewing device is provided with a sewing mechanism provided on a front end arm of a delivery robot. The sewing mechanism comprises a sewing motor for supplying power to sewing needles and loopers. When the sewing motor is energized, power is transmitted to the sewing needles via a first power transmission mechanism, this causing the sewing needles to move reciprocally. At the same time, power is transmitted to the loopers via a second power transmission mechanism to rotate the loopers. Accordingly, sewing is performed. The loopers are provided at an end of a post bed on the side closer to the sewing needles.

摘要： A cover construction for a sewing machine work support column which is adapted to contain a looper and a thread-cutting device comprises an upright support member or column upon which a substantially L-shaped cover member is pivotal. The cover member includes a cover plate portion which extends horizontally in a closed position and covers the top of the device and a side portion which extends vertically in a closed position. The cover plate member is openable to a position opened outwardly from the support member in which position the cover is located in a vertical position and the side portion in a horizontal position. The side portion includes two bearing faces which are defined on the back and the bottom faces thereof, respectively, and which will abut against a top bearing surface of a locking member which is displaceable along the height of the upright support member. In the open position, one bearing face on the side wall is engaged on the locking member and in the closed position, the bottom bearing face engages on the top of the locking member. The locking member is biased by a coil spring around the mounting member in an upward direction in which it contracts the bearing face on the side wall in an open position of the cover and the bearing face on the bottom wall in the closed position of the cover. In addition, the cover has a torsion spring associated with it which rotates it to an open position when the locking member is pushed downwardly against its biasing spring.

摘要： A sewing machine, capable of at least partial automatic operation, performs a second stitched seam, e.g. a deck seam, about joined ends of a pair of fabric panels which are components of an air bag. The machine features a vertically extended pedestal supporting the sewing head and a corresponding veritcally extended post supporting the plate beneath the head. The post supports the joined bag panels draped around it with the joint of the draped panels located between the sewing head and plate for stitching the edges of the panels to one of the panels while the remainder of the panels hang vertically around the post. A fixed lower guide plate and retractable upper guides are provided which will move a previously made stitched perimeter joint in the panels into precise spaced relation with a sewing head, so as to stitch the materials outside the first seam to each other and to one of the panels, forming the deck seam. The lower guide plates and upper guide members align the previously made joint with the sewing head, and fold the edges of the material onto one of the fabric panels before the materials enter the sewing head. The upper guide members are positioned and retracted under power to facilitate the process of setting a job into the machine, and to assure precise alignment of the guides. The machine also includes a powered feed device which pulls the guided materials through the sewing head, and a programmable controller device to allow measurement of and control over the extent of the deck seam formed by the machine.
