摘要： A laundry mangle has at least one mangling roller held in a working position inside a heatable trough by at least one carrying arm. The mangle roller and the trough are held in relative moveable positions by at least one adjusting member, delimiting together the inlet and outlet sides of a passage for laundry pieces. The adjusting member allows a force to be exerted on the mangling roller and/or trough that counteracts the frictional force generated during operation of the mangle, so that a constant or increasing ironing pressure towards the outlet side is set. The frictional force (R) generated during mangling is thus compensated, so that a gentle, wear-free mangling process is achieved. In addition, the mangling capacity is increased, compared with known mangles.

摘要： A heated trough mangle comprises a frame, at least one mangle unit situated inside the frame and including a mangle cylinder with a perforated mangle surface and at least one heated mangle trough partially surrounding the mangle cylinder, an exhaust device with an exhaust air channel to withdraw exhaust air from inside the mangle cylinder to outside through the exhaust air channel, an air supply device to supply fresh air and having an air providing device, and an apparatus to transfer heat from one air stream to another air stream. The improvement comprises a heat exchanger with first and second flow chambers situated in each mangle unit, the first flow chamber of the heat exchanger being connected at one end to the mangle cylinder and connected at the other end to the exhaust device through the exhaust air channel, the second flow chamber being connected to the air supply device and forming a continuous fresh air supply channel. The air providing device of the air supply device terminates adjacent to the mangle cylinder so that the fresh air is continuously heated and supplied to the mangle unit to dry laundry pieces.

摘要： A drum-type ironer unit normally operative to iron laundry at a given speed of movement of the laundry therethrough is combined most advantageously with a chest-type ironer unit normally operative to iron laundry at a much higher speed. The two ironer units are mounted in tandem so the laundry discharged by the drum-type ironer unit is automatically fed to the inlet of the chest-type ironer unit. Both ironer units are operated at the much higher linear speed for which the chest-type ironer unit is designed to operate. The laundry normally fed to the drum-type ironer unit in a dried condition is fed thereto in an undried condition.
