摘要: A lotion alternative, namely a nonwoven fabric treated with an aqueous-based petrolatum-surfactant mixture, simultaneously imparts fluid handling and skin health benefits during product use. The petrolatum-surfactant mixture can be applied to the nonwoven fabric by a foaming process. The foaming process is compatible with existing commercial nonwoven production equipment and in-line high production rates.

摘要: Specific transfer methods and articles to impart a metal-ion based antimicrobial finish to recipient textile surfaces. Such treatments preferably comprise silver ions, particularly as constituents of inorganic metal salts or zeolites. In particular, the inventive method involves the application of a solid, inorganic antimicrobial material to a donor substrate (such as a dryer sheet), and the subsequent placement of such a substrate within a tumble drying machine containing textile fabrics and operating the machine. The donor substrate, upon contact with the recipient textile fabrics, transfers antimicrobially effective amounts of the metal-ion based compounds to such recipient fabrics thereby imparting at least a temporary antimicrobial finish over at least a portion of such fabrics. The donor substrates, with either the antimicrobial compound alone or mixed with standard tumble dryer additives (such as perfumes, fabric softeners, fiber lubricants, and the like) are also contemplated within this invention.

摘要: The present invention relates to a denim-like clothing mainly including a woven or knitted fabric and having a whitening index of less than or equal to Class 4, which woven or knitted fabric includes ultrafine fibers or fibers capable of forming ultrafine fibers on its surface, and the whitening index is expressed in grey scale for assessing change in color specified in Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS). In preferred embodiments, the denim-like clothing has, for example, the following characteristics: (a) The denim-like clothing has a roughness index of equal to or more than 3 micrometers as determined using a measuring machine, KES-FB4; (b) the ultrafine fibers or the fibers capable of forming ultrafine fibers are ultrafine fibers having a fineness of less than or equal to 0.6 dtex or fibers capable of forming ultrafine fibers having a fineness of less than or equal to 0.6 dtex; (c) the fibers capable of forming ultrafine fibers are multicore fibers; and (d) the fibers have a matrix component that has been degraded. The invented denim-like clothing includes the ultrafine fibers or fibers capable of forming ultrafine fibers on its surface and is easily whitened by flexing or rubbing to thereby exhibit the feeling or semblance of a natural fiber denim.

摘要: A fiber structure comprising cellulose fibers crosslinked by using a crosslinking agent and synthetic fibers, characterized in that the crosslinking index represented by the following formula of the cellulose fibers is in a range of 1 to 4, and that the synthetic fibers contain an antimicrobial agent having an inorganic value/organic value ratio of 0.3 to 1.4. This structure has antimicrobial property excellent in industrial washing durability and also has shape stability such as crease resistance and shrinkage resistance. Crosslinking index=A−B where A is the coefficient of moisture absorption of the fiber structure after crosslinking in an atmosphere of 30° C. and 90% RH (%), and B is the coefficient of moisture absorption of the fiber structure after crosslinking in an atmosphere of 20° C. and 65% RH (%).
