摘要: A method of scribing abrasion aesthetics, patterns, images, serial numbers, ply markings and/or other information, such as sizing or care information, on fabric such as denim, before or during the fabric cutting process is provided. The method comprises loading the panel abrasion software, pattern marker software, and fabric scribing software; placing the fabric on a flat surface under at least one laser; laser scribing ply numbers, serial labels, fabric markers, and panel abrasions on the fabric; cutting the fabric into fabric lengths; spreading the pre-abraded and pre-marked fabric lengths on top of each other to create multiple plies in precise alignment; cutting shaped panels along the lines of the pattern marker with a conventional knife, laser, or other appropriate cutting tool; and stacking the abraded, labeled and shaped panels robotically or manually for sewing.

摘要: An apparatus for treatment of fabric, and including a fabric supply for supplying a length of dry fabric. A plurality of rolls having fabric-altering surface elements thereon is positioned in an upstream-to-downstream flow path for receiving the length of fabric across the surface elements thereof from an upstream fabric supply assembly to a downstream fabric take-up assembly. At least some of the plurality of rolls have drive means for positively rotating the rolls. The take-up assembly pulls the length of dry fabric off of the fabric supply assembly and through the flow path against the surface elements of the plurality of rolls in only a single pass and onto the take-up assembly.

摘要: The hard coated abrasive medium is formed by providing a hollow body with abrasive deposit on the outer surface. The buoyancy is provided by the enclosed air space, and the weight is defined by the weight of the body plus the hard plating or the abrasive grit deposited thereon. The density is selected in accordance to the character of the workpiece with which it is to be used in order to optimize the abrading action by interacting with the workpiece in the optimum fashion. In one embodiment, the abrasive grit is bonded to the exterior surface of the abrasive medium in a spiral shape to accelerate the abrading action.

摘要: The invention disclosed herein relates to improved methods for decolorizing or fading fabrics with gaseous oxidizing agents. The methods involve tumbling the fabrics in the presence of moisture and a treating agent for delivery of the treating agent to random portions of the fabrics. After tumbling for a sufficient period of time, the fabrics are then oxidized with a gaseous oxidizing agent such as ozone.
