    摘要: Windblown particles are controlled by a porous tubular control device formed from a sheet of netting material having a plurality of interconnected webs which define a plurality of apertures. The sheet of netting material assumes a three-dimensional tubular configuration. The tubular configuration is oriented to confront the wind and cause the wind blown particles to flow through the apertures of two vertically oriented portions of the tubular netting sheet to create aerodynamic drag and turbulence altering effects which stabilize, deposit and retain the windblown particles. The control device is effective in preventing the wind erosion of snow, sand or dust over an area much greater than the area occupied by the device.

    摘要: In a device for rapidly screening off a traffic accident site from view a non-transparent elongate sheet of a thin flexible material has one of its short ends secured to a spring-activated rod in the nature of a curtain rod on which the sheet is windable, said rod being mounted lengthwise within a portable cylindrical container having a longitudinal slot through which the sheet is movable for winding and unwinding purposes while being prevented from passing entirely into said container through said slot. The container is provided at one end thereof with means for readily and releasably connecting the same in an upright position with a stationary object, while a supporting post is connectible to said sheet at the free end thereof and adapted to be secured to a stationary object at a distance from said firstmentioned stationary object to thus support the unwound sheet in a substantially vertical position.

    摘要: A safety net system that is placed upright on the ground for restraining mud and debris slides is provided. The system includes at least one unit, each of which comprises at least one net panel that is disposed between two columns and is secured to continuous top and bottom ropes. The top rope extends from the bottom of one end column of a unit, through a guide at the top of that end column, through respective top guides of any interposed columns, through the top guide of the other end column, to a bottom end of that other end column. The bottom rope extends from the bottom end of one end column, through respective guides near the bottom of any interposed columns, to the bottom end of the other end column. Anchors are disposed laterally of each end column and uphill of each of the columns. Bracing cables extend from both the upper and bottom ends of each end column to the lateral anchors, and further bracing cables extend from both the upper and bottom ends of each of the columns to the uphill anchors.
