摘要： A pivot pin assembly is provided including a rotatable member having a hole therethrough with tapered ends, a pivot pin including a cylindrical portion and a conical portion engagable with a corresponding end of the tapered ends of the rotatable member, a pivot bearing engagable with the pivot pin to aid in rotation of said pivot pin; and a nut and bolt to lock said pivot pin to said rotatable member. The pivot pin is typically a conventional bearing having an inner race, an outer race, and bearings located between the inner and outer race. Optionally a washer is utilized to hold the bearings in place. In a preferred embodiment, the angle of the tapered end and the angle of the conical portion of the pivot pin are equal to each other and the angle is 20 degrees.

摘要： A removable, reusable one-piece device for masking a door hinge to prevent paint from getting on the hinge while the door and/or door frame are being painted. The device includes an interior section having two sheets which are sized and shaped to cover the hinge plates of the door hinge. The two sheets are connected by a flexible sheet which covers an interior portion of a barrel of the hinge. On an exterior section of the device is a covering strip for covering an exterior portion of the barrel. The covering strip may include magnetic adhesive strips allowing attachment of the exterior section to the exterior portion of the barrel. The exterior section is connected to the interior section of the device, thus allowing a top portion of the hinge to be covered.

摘要： A hinge with a safety shield plate unit is designed not to cover the hinge but to be rotatably fitted to the fixed front shaft of the hinge and be resiliently urged toward the cup-shaped fixing member of the hinge by a resilient member in such a way that the safety shield plate unit is prevented from unnecessarily moving toward the cup-shaped fixing member by causing the anchoring sections of the movable link arm to abut the respective anchored sections of the safety shield plate unit. The hinge main body includes a fixing member fitted to a fixed plate and a cup-shaped fixing member fitted to a movable plate. The members are linked together by movable arms. A safety shield plate unit fitted to the fixed front shaft linking the fixing member and the movable link arm is urged downward to follow and hide the hazardous area defined by the movable arms and the cup-shaped fixing member and having a volume that increases with the opening movement of the movable plate. The anchored sections of the safety shield plate unit are held by the respective anchoring sections to prevent the safety shield plate unit from inadvertently falling into the cup-shaped space and blocking the opening movement of the hinge.

摘要： The invention relates to a device for covering a gap, especially for providing a protective cover for the clearance between the door leaf and the door frame so as to avoid accidents. The novel flexible and strand-shaped gap covering profile is configured as a profiled body with a substantially tubular cross-section which comprises a front part, two lateral parts and two holding feet. The two lateral parts merge into a loop system that extends into the interior of the profiled body. The loop system in turn merges into the two holding feet at the outlet of the profiled body. The inventive loop system which has an essentially inversely symmetrical cross section in relation to the profile median that extends in the direction of the strand is configured in such a manner that the two lateral parts merge into a first loop that extends into the interior of the profiled body passing the holding foot or the holding element. The first loop merges into a respective second loop that merges into a mostly arcuate tapered part passing the inner side of the front part in a direction opposite to the first loop. The tapered part merges into the holding foot at the outlet of the profiled body.

摘要： The present door gap finger guard is comprised of an elongated rigid fixed plate connected to an elongated rigid movable plate by a narrow springy strip. The fixed plate, springy strip, and movable plate are coplanar when relaxed. The fixed plate is adapted to be attached to an interior surface of a doorjamb, and the movable plate is adapted to be biased against a door hinged to the door jamb. Both plates are transparent for blending in with the surrounding architecture. The movable plate is biased against the door regardless of the door's position to cover the door gap at all times. The springy strip is significantly narrower than either the movable plate or the fixed plate, so that most of the guard is of a rigid material that cannot be collapsed when pushed upon for preventing fingers from getting into the door gap.
