    摘要： Disclosed is a window assembly for use in mass transit vehicles which allows the quick and easy removal and replacement of transparent sacrificial glazing panels which protect the glazing of the window from vandalism and wear. The window assembly utilizes a sacrificial protective panel and mounting arrangement which allows quick and easy replacement of protective panels on one or both sides of the window assembly, but inhibits removal by non-maintenance personnel such as vandals. The frame of the window assembly incorporates one or more retainers which fit into slots along the interior sides of the window frame and sandwich the glazing between the frame and the retainers. In turn, the retainers are essentially “locked” into position in the frame by an inner protective panel, which significantly inhibits the removal of the retainers from the window assembly when the protective panel is in its desired position against the windowpane. Once the inner protective panel is removed from the window assembly, however, the retainers and glazing can quickly and easily be removed from the frame, allowing the glazing and any remaining protective panels to be quickly and easily removed from the frame.

    摘要： A window runner includes a clip-in member that engages a hole in a window to attach the window runner to the window. A locking member, in the form of a screw pre-mounted on the runner, is introduced into a central orifice of the clip from the side of the window which faces toward the interior of the vehicle. Flexible tabs extending from the clip lock into the periphery of the window hole. It is therefore extremely difficult to detach the clip from outside the vehicle. In consequence, any unauthorized lowering of the window by detaching the window clip-in member is no longer possible.

    摘要： A follower for holding a window pane is adjustable by a motor vehicle window lifter. The follower is connectable to the window lifter and has at least one retaining arm which can be brought into engagement with the window pane and thereby extends at least in part along a window pane surface. The follower is designed so that in the event of the window pane being loaded with force (F) in the lifting direction (H) a torque is exerted on the retaining arm of the follower. The torque is exerted in the direction of the window pane surface to press the retaining arm toward the window pane and prevent the window pane from becoming disengaged and sliding out from the follower.

    摘要： A window assembly for use in mass transit vehicles which allows the quick and easy removal and replacement of transparent sacrificial glazing panels which protect the glazing of the window from vandalism and wear. The window assembly utilizes a sacrificial protective panel and mounting arrangement which allows quick and easy replacement of protective panels on one or both sides of the window assembly, but inhibits removal by non-maintenance personnel such as vandals. The frame of the window assembly incorporates one or more retainers which fit into slots along the interior sides of the window frame and sandwich the glazing between the frame and the retainers. In turn, the retainers are essentially “locked” into position in the frame by an inner protective panel, which significantly inhibits the removal of the retainers from the window assembly when the protective panel is in its desired position against the windowpane. Once the inner protective panel is removed from the window assembly, however, the retainers and glazing can quickly and easily be removed from the frame, allowing the glazing and any remaining protective panels to be quickly and easily removed from the frame.
