    摘要: The present invention provides a simple debris removal apparatus for use in a wellbore. In one aspect of the invention a modular, interchangeable venturi is provided which can be retrofit into an existing debris bailer having a filter and a debris collection container. In another aspect of the invention, a venturi is utilized to create a negative pressure in a wellbore sufficient to actuate a retrieval tool for a downhole device. In yet another aspect of the invention, a combination tool is provided which can evacuate debris in a wellbore, thereby uncovering a downhole device which can then be removed in a single trip. In yet another aspect of the invention, a debris removal apparatus is provided with a method for utilizing the apparatus in a wellbore on coiled tubing.

    摘要: The present invention relates to the use of a buffered acid wash to reduce the amount of oil in cuttings associated with the use of an invert emulsion well fluid. The buffered acid wash is sufficiently acidic as to convert all of the surfactant in the invert oil emulsion from one charge species into another, but substantially prevents the fluid from becoming so acidic as to generate carbon dioxide.

    摘要: Gaseous and liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) are applied to a landfill well to penetrate the landfill under rapid pressurization and depressurization repeated in cycles, with or without leachate or fluid in the well. These cycles can be repeated until the CO2 flows more freely down a lower pressure gradient in the well into the landfill surrounding the well screen, creating fissures in the landfill which allow methane and other gases to enter the well, thereby significantly enhancing methane and other landfill gas recovery.

    摘要: A method for cleaning a plugged gravel pack in a subterranean wellbore is provided. The method comprises the steps of using a pressure pulsating jet and a tangential vortex to deliver a pressure pulsating treatment fluid into the gravel pack wherein soluble plugging materials in the gravel pack are dissolved by the treatment fluid and insoluble plugging materials are moved through the gravel pack and circulated out of the wellbore. The treatment fluid is driven into the gravel pack to dissolve soluble fines and displace insoluble fines from the interstitial pore spaces of the gravel pack.

    摘要: A self-firing and self-propelling gas impulse device which includes a housing having a longitudinal axis, a gas inlet port, and one or more gas discharge ports; an inlet chamber, arranged for gas communication with a source of compressed gas via the inlet port and operative to receive compressed gas therefrom; a pressurization chamber arranged for gas communication with the inlet chamber thereby to facilitate a build-up of pressurized gas therein, and arranged for selectable gas communication with the one or more discharge ports; and a piston unit arranged along the longitudinal axis of the housing between the inlet chamber and the pressurization chamber.
