摘要: A device for processing oil or gas well waste solids, the device including a pressurizing discharge unit having a casing. The casing includes a solids inlet and a water inlet. The solids inlet receives treated solids into a front end of the casing, where the treated solids are exposed to a reduced pressure in an internal chamber of the casing of less than atmospheric pressure. The water inlet receives water and adds the water to the treated solids in the internal chamber. The casing includes an extruder screw unit, the extruder screw unit having progressive screw sections located inside the internal chamber and corresponding to conveying mixing and pressurizing screw sections. The conveying screw section conveys the treated solids along a long axis length of the extruder screw unit from the solids inlet towards a discharge end of the casing while the reduced pressure is maintained, the mixing screw section mixes the treated solids and the water together to form a paste, and the pressurizing screw section conveys the paste towards the discharge end and generates, in a portion of the casing downstream from the mixing screw section, a backpressure that is greater than atmospheric pressure. The casing includes a die assembly to extrude the paste through an orifice of the die assembly located at the discharge end while maintaining the backpressure on the paste in the internal chamber. Method and system embodiments for processing oil or gas well waste solids are also disclosed.

The method includes performing an emissions lifecycle analysis for the drilling and completion fluid. The method further includes determining a greenhouse gas emissions value for the drilling and completion fluid based at least in part on a result of the emissions lifecycle analysis. The method further includes modifying a portion of the hydrocarbon exploration and recovery operation based at least in part on the greenhouse gas emissions value.

摘要: Methods and systems for separating mud from drill cuttings are disclosed. The method includes collecting drill cuttings from a shale shaker or a wellhead, placing the drill cuttings in a fluid that matches the fluid in the drilling mud, and filtering the drill cuttings through a sieve having a first mesh size. The method further includes placing the filtered drill cuttings in a sieve basket having a second mesh size, wherein the second mesh size is smaller than the first mesh size, placing the sieve basket in a vessel, and adding the fluid to completely submerge the drill cuttings in the fluid. The method also includes placing the vessel including the sieve basket, the drill cuttings, and the fluid in a sonicator-shaker, and simultaneously sonicating and shaking the vessel to separate the drill cuttings from contaminants thereon.

摘要: This disclosure presents a process and system to determine characteristics of a subterranean formation proximate a borehole. Borehole material is typically pumped from the borehole, though borehole material can be used within the borehole as well. Extracted material of interest is collected from the borehole material and prepared for analyzation. Typically, the preparation can be a separation process, a filtering process, a moisture removal process, a pressure control process, a flow control process, a cleaning process, and other preparation processes. The prepared extracted material is placed in a laser dispersion spectroscopy device (LDS) where measurements can be taken. A LDS analyzer can generate results utilizing the measurements, where the results of the extracted material can include one or more of composition parameters, alkene parameters, and signature change parameters. The results can be communicated to other systems and processes to be used as inputs into well site operation plans and decisions.

摘要: A drilling mud remediation and drilling cutting treatment device and method. There are three main components: a vacuum liquid solid separator; a pelletizer; and an induction furnace. The liquid solid separator has a seamless filter belt configured to carry a mixture of liquids and solids over a vacuum. A slurry comprised of drilling mud and cuttings is deposited on the filter belt. An applicator ensures that the slurry is deposited evenly across the entire filter belt at a uniform thickness. The vacuum removes most of the liquids for further treatment and reuse. The solids are transferred to a pelletizer which compacts them into relatively uniform pellets while removing much residual liquid. The pelletized cuttings are then passed through an induction furnace, which removes any residual liquids, renderings the cuttings safe for disposal.

摘要: The system and method for remediation of oil-contaminated sand provides for washing and separation of sand from oil and oil-based contamination. The system includes a feed hopper for receiving a volume of oil-contaminated sand in communication with a cleaning tank for receiving the volume of oil-contaminated sand therefrom. A mechanical stirrer mixes the volume of oil-contaminated sand with a surfactant solution in the cleaning tank. An ultrasonicator ultrasonicates the volume of oil-contaminated sand and the surfactant solution in the cleaning tank to create a mixture of washed sand and oily wastewater. A collection tank then receives the mixture. A band filter covers an open upper end of the collection tank, such that the mixture of washed sand and oily wastewater is filtered to separate out the washed sand, which may then be collected. The separated oily wastewater is then collected in the collection tank.

摘要: A system for mud solid control includes a translational elliptical multilayer ultra-wide screen shaker, a degasser, a solid-liquid separator, a large capacity centrifugal machine and a collector for solid shales. The solid-liquid separator includes a base which is provided with a feed tank and vibrating supports. A vibrating tank is fixed to the vibrating supports, and screen drums, vibration motors and an anti-vibration driving motor are assembled on the vibrating tank. The anti-vibration driving motor is connected to the screen drums. Each of the screen drums includes an inner drum, an intermediate drum and an outer drum. The system and a corresponding process thereof can greatly simply and improve the process for mud solid control and relevant devices, improve usage effect, reduce cost, save electrical power, reduce occupied area and simply maintenance and management of devices involved.
