摘要: Combined heat and power (CHP) systems and related methods are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the CHP system includes a combustion component and a power cell operably coupled to the combustion component. The power cell can include a first heat exchanger thermally coupled to the combustion component to receive heat; a second heat exchanger; and an electricity generation component with a first portion thermally coupled to the first heat exchanger and a second portion thermally coupled to the second heat exchanger. The electricity generation component is positioned to receive at least a portion of the heat received at the first heat exchanger and generate an electrical output using the received heat. To recycle unused heat from the power cell, the second heat exchanger can be thermally coupleable to a third heat exchanger in a residential heating appliance.

A high-pressure pump provides a solution of ammonium hydroxide and ammonium carbonate solution under pressure to the autoclave. An exothermic reaction generates high-pressure steam for electrical power generation. A crystallizer receives ammonium carbonate from the reaction for the formation of crystallized ammonium carbonate fertilizer.

摘要: A gas turbine includes: a compressor configured to compress air; a combustor configured to combust fuel in the air compressed by the compressor so as to generate combustion gas; and a turbine configured to be driven using the combustion gas. Air coolers are configured to bleed the air from a plurality of places having different pressures in the compressor and cool the air bled from the respective places so as to generate cooling air. A waste heat recovery device is configured to recover waste heat from at least two of the air coolers.

摘要: Various examples are provided for cryogenic power extraction. In one example, among others, a system for cryogenic power extraction includes a heat exchanger that can heat a cryogenic working fluid using exhaust heat from a heat source, and a turbine that can generate power from the heated cryogenic working fluid. In another example, a method includes heating a cryogenic working fluid with waste heat from a heat source and driving a turbine with the heated cryogenic working fluid. Power produced by the turbine can be used drive a mechanical load and/or generate electricity for use by an electrical load. For example, waste heat from a combustion engine of a vehicle can be used to generate power for driving mechanical loads of the engine and/or to generate electricity for charging a battery of the vehicle.

摘要: This combined cycle gas turbine plant has a gas turbine (104) and a steam turbine (106) mounted on the same shaft. A control system is configured for switching the plant from a rated mode of operation, in which the plant is operated on gas turbine output and steam turbine output, to a reduced load mode of operation, in which the plant is operated on gas turbine output alone. The switch from the rated mode of operation to the reduced load mode of operation occurs if plant demand decreases below a predetermined threshold. The steam turbine is run under full speed no load conditions in the reduced load mode of operation, and is heated using controlled steam admission, to maintain the steam turbine in a heated ‘stand-by’ state.

摘要: Provided is a system and a method which allow hydrogen to be produced both efficiently and in a stable manner when using exhaust gas produced by power generation as a heat source for the dehydrogenation reaction, controlling the temperature of the dehydrogenation reaction within an appropriate range. The system (1) for producing hydrogen comprises a dehydrogenation reaction unit (51) for producing hydrogen from an organic hydride by a dehydrogenation reaction in presence of a dehydrogenation catalyst; a first power generation unit (2) for generating electric power from energy of combustion gas produced by combustion of fuel; a waste heat recovery unit (3) for receiving heat from exhaust gas expelled from the first power generation unit; a heat exchanger (21) provided in the waste heat recovery unit for exchanging heat between the exhaust gas and a heat medium; and a circulation line (L1-L3) for introducing the heat medium heated in the heat exchanger to the dehydrogenation reaction unit in liquid form, and returning the heat medium expelled from the dehydrogenation reaction unit to the heat exchanger; wherein the heat medium is introduced into the dehydrogenation reaction unit at an introduction temperature ranging between 352° C. and 392° C., the heat medium is expelled from the dehydrogenation reaction unit at an expulsion temperature ranging between 337 ° C. and 367 ° C., and a difference between the introduction temperature and the expulsion temperature ranges between 10° C. and 50° C.
