摘要: A water pump includes a first enclosure having a center portion that is moveable from a normal condition to a deflected condition and a second enclosure adjacent to the first to form an internal cavity. An impeller is disposed within the internal cavity. A tubular shaft portion extends from the impeller through a bore in the second enclosure. The tubular shaft portion is press fit to a motor shaft which rotates the impeller within the internal cavity. As the motor shaft is inserted into the tubular portion of the impeller, a tool is used to press on and axially deflect the center portion of the first enclosure. Thus, the center portion of the first enclosure contacts the impeller and provides an opposing force on the impeller while the motor shaft is inserted into the tubular portion of the impeller. When the motor shaft is press-fit sufficiently into the tubular portion, the tool is removed. When the tool is removed, a convoluted portion around a center portion of the first enclosure biases the center portion to move axially away from the impeller and form a clearance gap between the impeller and the first enclosure. Several optional friction engagement members may be used to connect the motor shaft to the tubular shaft.

摘要: An energy exchanger device can be used for exchanging pressure energy from one fluid to another, or may act as a hydraulic compressor or fluid driven pump. A preferred device uses a jet nozzle to rotate a cylindrical rotor block having a number of axially oriented conduits within it. As the rotor turns, one end of each of the conduits is alternately connected, through a first set of ports, to either an inlet for a high pressure fluid, or an outlet for the high pressure fluid from which the energy has been extracted. Correspondingly, the other end of each of the conduits is alternately connected to either an inlet for a low pressure fluid or an outlet for the fluid to which the energy has been transferred. A freely sliding element, such as a ball, may be placed in each of the conduits to isolate the two fluids from each other.

摘要: An air handling blower housing for an HVAC system is formed by two opposed housing parts which are each fabricated of a compression molded reinforced thermoset polymer composition. The housing parts are joined along a parting line, preferably perpendicular to the axis of a motor driven impeller mounted within the housing by wedge shaped clips which engage cooperating bosses aligned with each other when the housing parts are joined. The construction of the housing parts provides for an improved method of assembly of an air handling blower of a type particularly adapted for HVAC systems.

摘要: A hybrid rotor, a manufacturing method thereof and a gas turbine realize reduced manufacturing cost and reduced weight of parts. An impeller part 31 as a rotor main part comprises a bore portion 32, impellers 34 provided therearound and a shaft bore 33 provided centrally of the bore portion 32. An enlarged shaft bore portion 35 is coaxially provided in the shaft bore 33. The impeller part 31 is made of Ti or Ni alloy by precision casting. A ring member 10 made of a metal base composite material is inserted into the enlarged shaft bore portion 35 and is bonded together by friction bonding or diffusion bonding to thereby strengthen the rotor. The rotor main part is manufactured by precision casting without need of machining. The ring member 10 is separately manufactured from the impeller part 11. By strengthening the rotor, the bore portion 32 can be made thin. Thus, manufacturing cost is remarkably reduced and weight of the rotor is also reduced.

摘要: A fan tray assembly for an electronics enclosure includes two opposing, spaced apart shells made of a sheet material. The opposing shells are attached to each other by attachment features formed in the sheet material of each shell. Advantageously, the attachment features reduce or eliminate the need for separate fasteners, spring steels, or adhesives to attach the shells. Each shell has openings and grills. Each shell also has retention features formed in the sheet material around a periphery of their respective grills. A ventilation fan unit (e.g., two fans) is retained between the two shells by the retention features. An electrical connector is connected to the ventilation fan and retained by at least one of the shells. The shells may also include features for retaining the electrical connector without using fasteners or adhesives. Such features may allow the connector to float in a plane perpendicular to its principal axis of alignment. The assembly may additionally include a handle for detaching the assembly to the electronic enclosure.

摘要: The object of the present invention is to increase the operating ratios of turbine units. To achieve the object, supports are provided on the upper outer casing of each turbine of a turbine unit, and the upper inner casing of said turbine is temporarily placed on the supports of the upper outer casing which is temporarily placed on the operating floor. By placing them temporarily in that way, a large space can be secured for the inspection of the turbine unit, and the inspection can be carried out quickly, which increases the operating ratio of the whole plant including the turbine unit. This invention is useful mainly for turbine units and their overhaul.

摘要: A diffuser for slowing down a fluid and a method for operating a diffuser is described. A channel of the diffusor has an inlet with a smaller flow cross section than a flow cross section of an outlet and at least one opening for receiving an energizing fluid to be transported selectively into the channel. Pulsations of the impact interface are suppressed effectively at all of the operating points by injecting the energization fluid. Pressures of the fluid moving in the diffusor are measured, and amplitudes and frequencies of the measured pressures are evaluated. Energizing fluid is fed into the diffusor if the amplitudes within a predetermined frequency band exceed a threshold value. The utilization ratio of the inventive diffuser is considerably improved as a result of such a measure.

The rotary valve 1 to feed artificial snow at a constant rate includes: impeller rotary shaft 3 which is placed in cylindrical casing 2 along the length direction of the cylinder; a plurality of impellers 4 which are arranged around impeller rotary shaft 3 at an equal distance from each other in the radial direction; opening 25 for loading of artificial snow which connects the top portion of a wall of cylindrical casing 2 with the top portion of a housing; opening 7 for receiving compressed air which is formed on casing side wall 6 to receive said compressed air from a blower; and an exit 10 for artificial snow formed at the other casing side wall 9 to blow out artificial snow, cut in a given amount, with compressed air. The impeller 4 is connected with the adjacent impeller at its end contacting impeller rotary shaft 3 by a smooth surface of arched plate 14 having arc 15. The opening 7 for loading of artificial snow on casing side wall 6 and the exit 10 for artificial snow on the other casing side wall 9 are arranged across from each other in arc 15 between impellers 4.
