    Abstract: A turbine engine air blower including a rotor disk that includes, on an outer periphery thereof, longitudinal ribs, each including a radial lug for attaching the disk onto a downstream compressor rotor.     Abstract: A tachometer for a downhole motor includes: a tubular housing having a coupling for connection to a housing of the motor; and a probe. The probe: has a coupling for connection to a rotor of the motor, is movable relative to the tachometer housing, and has at least a portion disposed in a bore of the tachometer housing. The tachometer further includes electronics disposed in the tachometer housing and including: a battery; one or more proximity sensors for tracking an orbit of the probe; and a programmable logic controller (PLC). The PLC is operable: to receive the tracked orbit, and at least one of: to determine an angular speed of the probe using the tracked orbit, and to forecast a remaining lifespan of the motor using the tracked orbit.

    Abstract: A steam turbine facility suppresses the possibility of vibration from occurring and prevents a drastic increase in facility cost, thereby realizing an increase in size of the facility, even if steam conditions of 650° C. or higher are adopted. In the steam turbine facility including a high-pressure turbine, an intermediate-pressure turbine, and a low-pressure turbine, the intermediate-pressure turbine is separated into a first intermediate-pressure turbine on a high-temperature and high-pressure side and a second intermediate-pressure turbine on a low-temperature and low-temperature side. At least any one of the rotors and casings of the steam-introduction-side turbines into which steam with a temperature of 650° C. or higher is introduced is formed from Ni-based alloy, and at least any one of the overall rotors and the overall casings of the turbines are constructed by joining together a plurality of rotor members or casing members by welding.

    Abstract: A single crystal nickel base superalloy consists essentially of, in weight %, about 6.4% to about 6.8% Cr, about 9.3% to about 10.0% Co, above 6.7% to about 8.5% Ta, about 5.45% to about 5.75% Al, about 6.2% to about 6.6% W, about 0.5% to about 0.7% Mo, about 0.8% to about 1.2% Ti, about 2.8% to about 3.2% Re, up to about 0.12% Hf, about 0.01% to about 0.08% by weight C, up to about 0.10% B, and balance Ni and incidental impurities. The superalloy provides improved alloy cleanliness and castability while providing improved high temperature mechanical properties such as stress rupture life.
