The secondary unit has a filling neck for filling a reservoir with working liquid. The filling neck is connected to the reservoir which is selectively plugged by a plug. The plug is provided with a plugging surface that mates with a plugging seat formed in the neck. The neck includes an area for containing an excess of working liquid overflowing from the reservoir. An overflow level extends into the neck above the seat. The plug moves in the neck in the presence of the overflow of working liquid, between a position of pre-plugging, in which the plugging surface is removed from the seat, and a position of plugging in which the plugging surface is in sealed contact with the seat.

    摘要: A system and method for compressing gas uses a hydraulic pump and a hydraulic accumulator to compress gases in gaseous form. The accumulator is divided into a hydraulic chamber and a pneumatic chamber. The pneumatic chamber of the accumulator can be pneumatically connected to a gas supply and a gas receptacle that needs filled. One-way directional flow valves are used to permit the flow of gas from the gas supply to the pneumatic chamber and from the pneumatic chamber to the gas receptacle, but to prevent the flow of gas in the opposite direction. A motor drives the hydraulic pump, which moves pressurized oil into the hydraulic chamber of the accumulator. The pressurized oil within the hydraulic chamber of the accumulator compresses the gas within the pneumatic chamber of the accumulator, forcing the into a tank or other receptacle that needs filled. The invention can be used to compress a variety of gases at different flow rates, volumes, and pressures. The hydraulic pump can be driven by a single-phase or three-phase electric motor, or a gas or diesel powered motor.

    摘要: A method and system are disclosed for detecting the presence of a gas in a pump chamber of a pumping system. The methods, and systems employing the methods, involve isolating a pump chamber from its surroundings, for example by closing an inlet and outlet valve on lines to and from the chamber, and determining the volume of the pump chamber with a force applied to a moveable or flexible surface of the pump chamber. The volume of the pump chamber is then redetermined in a similar fashion but with a second, different level of force applied to the surface of the pump chamber. The volumes thus determined can then be compared to detect the presence of a gas in the pump chamber.
