    摘要: A metering system for metering a liquid has an electric motor (32) for setting a desired feed rate, by modifying the rotation speed of the electric motor. It furthermore has an eccentric drive (52, 56), drivable by said electric motor (32), for a pump (53) that has two delivery directions. It also has a pump ring (62) made of an elastomeric material and a stationary ring (70) which is arranged relative to the pump ring (62) and to the eccentric drive (52, 56) in such a way that a pump chamber (120), extending in a circumferential direction, is formed between the stationary ring (70) and pump ring (62). The chamber changes shape upon rotation of the electric motor (32) in order to deliver a liquid to be metered through the pump chamber (120). A stationary seal (142) is provided in the pump chamber (120), between two fluid ports.

    摘要: A hot beverage maker is provided with a removable pump for cleaning a brewing needle. The pump fits into a brewing chamber which normally receives a pod of an infusible beverage material. A pod receptacle and a lid pivotally connected to the housing form the brewing chamber. After a brewing cycle or when cleaning of the brewing needle is desired, an interior chamber of the pump is filled with cleaning fluid and the pump inserted into the pod receptacle. When the lid is closed, the brewing needle is inserted into the interior chamber. The lid is closed and released repeatedly to operate the pump. This creates a pumping action of the cleaning fluid through the brewing needle to dislodge a buildup of minerals or residual deposits. The used cleaning fluid and dislodged deposits are discarded after the cleaning operation is completed.

    摘要: In an embodiment of the present invention, an improved pump is provided to inflate and deflate a bladder of a seat. The pump has a base, a stem, a valve, a bulb, an O-ring and a cover. The O-ring holds the bulb to the base in a recess defined by two lips. The bulb has a hole in one end that can be covered by a user's finger during inflation, wherein the user compresses the bulb while covering the hole to create pressure within the chamber. Then, when the user contacts the plunger, the pressure causes air to enter the bladder. To deflate the bladder, the user contacts the plunger without covering up the hole in the bulb. The stem has a flange. The pump can connect to a seat by connecting to a seat tab and securing the tab between the flange and the base.
