Abstract:
An elastic short-pin type universal joint includes a first base, a second base, a jointer, a first elastic member, two second elastic members, and four short pins. The first base engages the second base to form a space therebetween. The jointer is received in the space between the first and the second bases. The jointer has a first bore passing through the jointer, a second bore, and a third bore. The first elastic member is received in the first bore of the jointer, and the second elastic members are received in the second bore and the third bore. The short pins are urged by ends of the first elastic member and the second elastic members to press the first base and the second base respectively. As a result, the first base is able to rotate related to the second base in all directions.
Abstract:
A steering shaft having an outer shaft and an inner shaft accommodated therein in a torque-locking, axially displaceable manner and an axial inner stop which projects radially outwards from an outer face of the inner shaft. When the inner shaft is pulled out of the outer shaft, the axial inner stop strikes against an axial outer stop projecting radially inwards from an inner face of the outer shaft, wherein the axial displacement of the inner shaft is limited in the pull-out direction. With regard to simple production of the outer stops with the least possible deformation of the entire cross section of the outer shaft, the outer stop is introduced by at least one forming process into an end portion of the outer shaft, wherein the axis of the direction of introduction in each case forms an angle of more than 20° with the radial direction of the outer shaft.
Abstract:
A composite vehicle driveshaft assembly includes a composite tube and a yoke bonded to one of the ends of the tube. The yoke has an inner sleeve that is concentrically received in the end of the tube. The sleeve has an outer peripheral surface that faces the inner peripheral surface of the tube with a cavity formed therebetween. An adhesive injection passage is formed in the yoke and extends at an acute angle from an inlet that is formed in an axial surface of the yoke to an outlet that is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the sleeve and that opens into the cavity. Also disclosed is a method of bonding a yoke of such a driveshaft assembly to a composite tube.
Abstract:
An assembly apparatus includes backup jigs, a press-fitting and caulking part, and an expansion part. The backup jigs is configured to back up arms of a yoke of the cross shaft universal joint from inside in an axial direction. The press-fitting and caulking part is configured to press-fit cup bearings from outside in the axial direction between bearing holes of the arms and a shaft portion of a cross shaft, and configured to caulk the cup bearings. The expansion part is configured to push a wedge body between the backup jigs and to expand the arms outward via the backup jigs. The press-fitting and caulking part is configured to press-fit the cup bearings and to caulk the cup bearings in a state in which the arms are expanded. The expansion part is configured to release an expansion of the arms after the press-fitting and caulking of the cup bearings.
Abstract:
A space-saving method for early determination of wear of a universal joint with four journals projecting from a base is provided and relates to the field of drive technology. The journal cross of the universal joint is provided with a temperature sensor for the purpose of determining wear of the universal joint.
Abstract:
A developing cartridge includes: a developing roller rotatable about a first axis extending in a first direction; a developing roller gear rotatable together with the developing roller; a coupling gear rotatable about a second axis extending in the first direction; and a joint rotatable together with the coupling gear. The coupling gear is meshingly engaging with the developing roller gear. The joint is pivotally movable relative to the coupling gear about a third axis extending in a second direction. The joint includes: a first protrusion extending in a first radial direction; and a second protrusion extending in a second radial direction opposite to the first radial direction. The second protrusion is positioned away from and is aligned with the first protrusion in a diametrical direction including the first radial direction and the second radial direction. The second direction crosses the first radial direction and the second radial direction.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a cardan mounting for an air vent, comprising a fixed part and a moving part, which are each pivotably attached to a cardan ring, wherein the two pivoting axes are arranged at right angles to one another. The cardan ring is elastically deformable, circular-ring-shaped in the uninstalled state and extended along one pivoting axis and compressed along the other pivoting axis, as compared with the circular shape, in the installed state. The invention furthermore relates to an air vent having a cardan mounting of this kind.
Abstract:
A drive transmission device, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a drive transmission device including first and second rotary bodies, first and second grooves, a link device linking the first and second rotary bodies, a stopper, a guide groove, and a communication portion. The link device includes first and second inserting bodies and a link body linking the first and second inserting bodies. The stopper stops the first projection from being detached from the first groove. The guide groove guides the first projection into the first hollow body. The communication portion causes the guide groove and the first groove to communicate with each other. The first hollow body relieves the second projection closer to the first rotary body than the stopper in the axial direction of the first rotary body and in the direction of rotation of the first rotary body in assembly.
Abstract:
A universal joint (U-joint) dismantling tool includes an actuator coupled to a yoke. The yoke has two substantially parallel legs, spaced to form a pull channel therebetween. Each yoke leg terminates in a free end defining a foot surface. The actuator is adapted to substantially linearly draw a puller at least partially along a length of the yoke pull channel, thereby increasing a distance between a pull surface and the yoke foot surfaces.
Abstract:
A propeller shaft has a first yoke having a fixing portion, a pair of first bifurcated yoke portions extending from one end portion of the fixing portion in an axial direction, and a first bearing hole formed at each first yoke portion and securing therein a first bearing that holds a cruciform shaft; a second yoke coupled to the first yoke through the cruciform shaft and secured to a predetermined member, and having a mounting flange, and a bolt insertion hole which is formed at the mounting flange and into which a bolt to secure the second yoke to the predetermined member is inserted; and a securing member securing the mounting flange of the second yoke to the predetermined member through the bolt by a fastening tool. Each first yoke portion is provided with a first concave portion that slides thereon an outer circumferential surface of the fastening tool.
