    摘要: A steering shaft for a motor vehicle may have an inner shaft, an outer shaft, and a profiled sleeve that is fixed on the inner shaft such that the inner shaft is movable together with the profiled sleeve in an axial direction relative to the outer shaft. The inner shaft and the outer shaft may be coupled in a torque-transmitting manner with the profiled sleeve connected therebetween. The profiled sleeve may comprise an aperture into which a projection on an outer face of the inner shaft engages in a manner that secures the profiled sleeve in position on the inner shaft at least in the axial direction.

    摘要: A composite vehicle driveshaft is provided with a crash collapse system that allows for a controlled longitudinal collapse of the driveshaft by facilitating telescopic movement of various components with respect to each other during a crash event. The crash collapse system may include a collapsible joint with a sleeve that is concentrically bonded in an end of a composite tube and a stub end assembly that is spline-engaged and interference fit within the sleeve, such as by way of a press-fit and/or a thermal shrink-fit procedure. This relationship may rotationally lock and axially fix the stub end assembly to the sleeve unless, during a crash event, the composite vehicle driveshaft experiences a compression or push-type force that exceeds a minimum breakaway or collapse force value that longitudinally and telescopically collapses the composite vehicle driveshaft.

    摘要: A steering shaft having an outer shaft and an inner shaft accommodated therein in a torque-locking, axially displaceable manner and an axial inner stop which projects radially outwards from an outer face of the inner shaft. When the inner shaft is pulled out of the outer shaft, the axial inner stop strikes against an axial outer stop projecting radially inwards from an inner face of the outer shaft, wherein the axial displacement of the inner shaft is limited in the pull-out direction. With regard to simple production of the outer stops with the least possible deformation of the entire cross section of the outer shaft, the outer stop is introduced by at least one forming process into an end portion of the outer shaft, wherein the axis of the direction of introduction in each case forms an angle of more than 20° with the radial direction of the outer shaft.

    摘要: A bailing apparatus may include a multi-component bolster assemblies that may ease installation and removal, reduce wear and tear and maintenance, and/or improve baling efficiency by reducing material waste, imperfections, and/or contamination. The bolster assemblies may include a plurality of coupling portions that engage a hydraulic rod and may enable the bolster assembly to self-center within a press chamber during normal baling operations. The bolster assemblies also may include an island portion that may be attached to the coupling portions and to a bolster cap, and the latter may be attached using retainer bolts having substantially planar heads that may define lips that run about frustums. The bolts may substantially planar head may reduce irregularities in the bale and the lips may prevent material seepage into the bolster assemblies.

    摘要: Sealing arrangement for length compensation of an articulated shaft, where the sealing arrangement has a first shaft element which has a seat section, and a sealing sleeve with a fastening section. A circumferential groove is arranged on the seat section for fixing the sealing sleeve on the first shaft element. The sealing sleeve engages into the circumferential groove. The sealing sleeve, by way of the fastening section, is axially pushed onto the seat section in the direction of a longitudinal axis. The fastening section has at least one latching projection which projects radially inward and which engages in a latching manner into the circumferential groove when the sealing sleeve is in the fully pushed-on state. The seat section has a circumferential sealing face against which the fastening section of the sealing sleeve bears in an elastically tensioned manner in the fully pushed-on state.
